The Yakima core bar roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof, while freeing up space inside your vehicle for you and your family. It can carry bike racks, cargo baskets, cargo boxes, ski and snowboard carriers, and kayaks. This roof rack system is very easy to install. It simply wraps around your existing factory-raised side rails, and the two bars combined have a carrying capacity of 220 pounds, although you always want to double-check with your vehicles manual to make sure your roof can withstand those weights. Also, at our end caps here, we do have knockouts which you can replace with the Yakima same-key system, so the accessories that you put on your roof rack, as well as your roof rack, can be keyed alike. Now that weve gone over some of the features, lets go ahead and show you how this goes together.
