Best 2016 Nissan Pathfinder Trailer Wiring Options- Video
Today on our 2016 Nissan Pathfinder we'll be looking at our best trailer wiring options. We have three wiring options here today. Off to the right we have the Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness with a four-pole flat trailer connector, part number 118670. In the middle we have the Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness with a seven-pole connector, part number 118273. Off here to the left we have the Hopkins Plug-In Simple vehicle wiring harness with a four-pole flat trailer connector, part number HM11143690. Now the biggest differences that we have in our trailer wiring harness besides the fact that we have a seven-way here and two four-ways, is that both the seven-way and the four-way that we have here from Tekonsha will connect to the vehicle's existing tow package wire connectors. Now the Hopkins doesn't utilize the factory tow package wiring. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Nissan Pathfinder- Video
Today in our 2016 Nissan Pathfinder, we'll be installing a Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness for factory tow package with a seven way trailer connector. Part number 118273. Here's what our seven way connector looks like installed. This will give us all of our required by law lighting functions that we need for our trailer as well as giving us a 12 volt power source to charge any batteries that we have in our trailer, back up lights if we have them on our trailer. If our vehicle is equipped with a brake controller, we'll be able to run our trailer's brakes through this connector. What I really like about this kit is it's very simple to install, there is no splicing of wires anywhere. It all is plug and play using existing connectors already on the vehicle, and you don't have to supply power to it directly from the battery. The vehicle is already pre-wired for that. more
