Speaker 1: Today, in our 2014 Nissan Maxima, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt T-Connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 56022. Here's what our wiring looks like once we have it installed. It's going to provide us a 4-pole flat trailer connector, which is going to give us all the required lights to get safely down the road, like our taillights, turn signals, and our brake lights. Now. I do want to mention that we did mount our wiring on the outside with these two brackets that are not included, but you can pick them up at etrailer.com. The wiring is designed to stay on the inside of the car and you would open the trunk and drop it down. more

Best 2014 Nissan Maxima Trailer Wiring Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Nissan Maxima we'll be having a look at our best trailer wiring options. We have three wiring harnesses here today. This one here is our Tekonsha T-One, part number 118470. This one is our CURT T-Connector, part number 56022. Then this one is our Hopkins Plug-In Simple! wiring harness, part number HM11143675.The first biggest difference that we found between our three wiring harnesses is in regards to power output. Our Tekonsha wiring harness is rated for 5.6 amps of power output on the taillight and running light circuit, and then our stop and turn signal circuits are rated at 2.1 amps per side, whereas on our CURT T-Connector, our taillight and running light circuit is rated for six amps and our stop and turn signal circuits are rated for three amps per side. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Nissan Maxima 118470- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Maxima we'll be installing the tow ready T1 vehicle wiring harness with four pole flat trailer connector, part number 118470. We want to use our trailer wiring, we'll just pull it out here, make sure it's not going to get stuck in the latch and we can close our trunk over it. When we're done hooking it to our trailer and we're no longer towing, open our trunk up again, re-secure our connector cover here. We can grab the wires and then we'll just store it here underneath the carpet so it tucks up out of the way, just like that. Here's what our kit consists of, we have our wiring here, with our connectors that will plug into the vehicle's taillight assemblies, so we'll have our working trailer lights. We have this module box here which makes sure there is no back feeding of voltage through the trailer back in the vehicle's lights, or the computer system in the vehicle could cause any damage. We have this roll of wire here, which we'll connect from our module assembly here directly to our vehicle's battery using the included fuse holder and fuse. more
