Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 BMW 5 Series- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2010 BMW 5 Series Wagon we're gonna be taking a look at and installing the Tekonsha ZCI Circuit-Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness, part number 119250KIT.So, here's what our wiring's gonna look like when it's fully installed. It is gonna stay inside the vehicle at all times, and when we're ready to tow, we can just drop it down the hatch, close the hatch and it'll be right here whenever we're ready to hook up our trailer. Now, it's gonna give us a four-pole flat for our trailer, which is gonna have all the required lights when we're driving down the road, such as our taillights, turn signals, and brakes.Now, what's great about this wiring is is we're not gonna have to cut in or even plug into our factory wiring. Our connectors are gonna wrap around our wire, and there's a sensor inside that's gonna detect the current. So we're not gonna overload, or even put any kind of draw onto our factory wiring. Now, it is gonna come with a circuit-protected power module, and that's gonna ensure that any feedback from the trailer that might happen won't come back into our vehicle. more
