B and W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at B&W's the Patriot 18K Fifth Wheel on a 2013 Ford F-250. Now, today we have our fifth wheel in a 6 1/2' bed and that's why this is a great option. B&W makes some awesome fifth wheel hitches. They're some of my personal favorites. The quality's fantastic, but this one in particular, if your weight capacity is right at 18,000 or less, is gonna be a great option because, when you need to maneuver, you need a little bit more clearance so you don't hit your cab corners, you can just simply pull the latch, slide this back, it'll lock into place and now you can maneuver without having to worry about damaging your cab. We have our Patriot mounted into Demco's Premier Series rail kit. more

Reese 5th Wheel Under Bed Rail Kit Installation - 2014 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty- Video

Reese 5th Wheel Under Bed Rail Kit Installation - 2014 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Ryan: Hey, everybody. Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2014 Ford F-350, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the Under-bed Rail Installation kit for Reese Elite Series Fifth-wheel and Gooseneck trailer hitches. What I really like about this under-bed kit is that, when we're not using it, we're going to have complete bed access. We're not going to have any rails or anything like that in the way. Now essentially our F-350's bed is going to have a template, if you will, for our kit. There are spots in the bed that are flat for where our pucks are going to sit. And in most cases, unless you have a very thick bed liner like this, there's actually going to be a dimple in the bed. more

Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch Installation - 2014 Ford F-350 Super Duty- Video

Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch Installation - 2014 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Speaker 1: Today on this 2014 Ford F350, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Demco hijacker auto slide fifth wheel hitch with slider for Ford Super Duty prep packaged vehicles. Part number DM8550024.Here's what our Demco auto slide fifth wheel looks like installed. Now the main reason you're going to want a sliding fifth wheel such as this one over other options on the market is that this is going to solve two problems that many of our customers encounter. The first problem that many of our customers encounter is that when they have a short bed truck such as this one, you don't have the necessary clearance between your fifth wheel head and the cab of your truck. So when you go to make tight turns, you find that you run the risk of having contact with the cab of your truck to the overhang on your fifth wheel trailer. The second problem that people encounter is that when they purchase a slider in order to solve the short bed problems when towing a fifth wheel, is that most sliders out there are manual controlled. Which means every time you need to get into a maneuvering position, you have to get out of the truck, operate a handle in order to get your truck into the maneuvering position. more

Reese R16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Ford F-250- Video

Reese R16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Ford F-250

Today on our 2012 Ford F250, we're going to be taking a look at the Reese Titan 16 Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number RP30866. So, here we have our fifth wheel installed along with our base rails, which are sold separately. This fifth wheel is gonna work with all industry standard base rails that mount inside the truck bed. Now, this fifth wheel features a 16,000 pound gross trailer weight limit. That's the amount that it could pull and it also features a 4,000 pound vertical load limit. The head on the fifth wheel itself does swivel side-to-side and back-to-front to allow you to get the right angle when hooking up to your trailer. The way that we're gonna hook this up to your trailer is if you come over to this handle, rotate it up and then pull it out, you'll see the jaws are going to open. more

Fifth Wheel Installation - 2002 Ford F-250- Video

Fifth Wheel Installation - 2002 Ford F-250

Today on our 2002 Ford Super Duty, well be installing the Reese Quick Install Custom Base Rails and Install Kit for Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitches, part number RP50082-58 in conjunction with the Reese Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Square Tube Slider Dual-Jaw, part number RP30051. The first step of our install is taking the rear base rail and setting it up in our truck bed. Using the measurements provided in our install kit, well go ahead and measure it out from the end of the truck bed. Note: this does not include the tailgate. Then well measure from side to side to make sure the base rail is even. The best recommendation is to go off the weld seam of the truck bed. more

Fifth Wheel Installation - 1999 Ford F-350- Video

Fifth Wheel Installation - 1999 Ford F-350

Today on this 1999 Ford F-350 super duty, we are going to install part number RP50082. The first thing we need to do is go ahead and lower the spare tire so we have access underneath the vehicle. And then once we have that done, we will go into the bed of the truck and we will start marking out the places for our rails. What we are going to do is measure out from the edge of the bed itself, not the tailgate but the bed, and we are going to measure out and place a mark in the bed as described in the instructions. We are going to do that in two places on both sides. Now we have our mounts in our bed. We will line up our first rail and you are going to want to get them even left to right, using the seam right here works out pretty good. Our custom install kit on the bottom is going to use these two outside holes here. So we will find the center and mark that. Do that on both sides of the rail. Alright, let us move our rail out of the way. We will go ahead and drill a couple 1/8 inch holes. Now we are by the frame of the vehicle on the driver side. Now you do not want to really have to take off the back tires but we did anyway for clarity. One thing we know is that our plate is going to have to sit flat on the frame so that our brake cable here is going to be in the way. So, we are going to move that out of the way. There will be a provision to but that back on later on. 1:12 more
