Now, the biggest difference you're going to see between the two kits, I think are going to be reliability and power output. Now, both of these converter boxes are gonna give us the level of power that we're gonna need for any standard size trailer.If you get into a trailer that has a lot of incandescent lights on it, the Curt's probably going to be the way to go. It offers three amps per turn and brake signal, so three amps for the left, three amps for the right. It gives us six amps for our running light circuit.With the Tekonsha, we've got 2.1 amps going to the left turn and brake, and the right turn and brake. We've got 5.6 amps going for the running light signal. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 Volvo XC90- Video
Today on this 2008 Volvo XC90, we're going to review and install the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118411. First off, this is the main wire harness right here. It has 2 T-connectors. The one with the green wire goes to the passenger side, and the one with the yellow wire goes to the driver's side. These 2 wire harnesses go up to the module right here, which happens to take power from a power supply in the back of the vehicle. What it does, it copies the signal inside this box, and then sends it out through the 4-pole flap to your trailer. In this case, the electrical wire harness on your Volvo is insulated from your trailer. more
