Ryan: Hey, everybody. Ryan here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at our best trailer wiring options, if you're a 2012 Nissan NV1500.So today we're going to be talking about three different wiring kits. Over here, we're going to have the Hopkins, here in the center we're going to have the Tekonsha, and to my left here, we have the Curt. Now, before we get too carried away talking about the differences between each kit, I'd like to tell you which one I would personally choose for my own NV1500.I would definitely go with the Tekonsha and really for one huge reason and that is the quality of construction. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Nissan NV

Today on our 2012 Nissan NV, we'll be installing the tow ready custom fit vehicle wiring harness, part number 118553. First, to begin our install, we'll go ahead and open up the rear cargo doors, then we'll locate the manufacturer's wiring connector between the tail light and the wiring harness for the driver side. Here, just inside the rear driver side door pillar, there's a plastic clip connector securing the wiring harness on the inside. Let's go ahead, press on the connector and allow it to free so we can pull the wire out to the access hole. Then we can go ahead and press on the locking tab for the connector and separate the two. Now, we'll bring in our tow-ready T1 connector. Here, we can plug the in-line with the manufacturer's wiring as the tow ready harness will provide identical connectors. Then we can go ahead and re-secure the clip connector, holding the wires into the interior panel. Next, we'll add the power wire to our converter box. more
