Today, on our 2009 Subaru Impreza, we'll be looking at our best hitch options. I just want to point out the two hitches that we're looking at here today are for the Impreza hatchback models. If you have a sedan, it uses different hitches, as well as the WRX and STI models. They have different hitches as well. The two hitches that we have here today, on the top, we have a Curt Class I, part number C11286, and on the bottom we have a Draw-Tite Class I, part number 24886. You may notice that the Curt has an angled construction going up like this. Our Draw-Tite hitch only has that similar construction on the right side of the hitch, which will be on the passenger side of your vehicle. more

Today's 2009 Subaru Impreza, we're going to install part number C11315 from CURT. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on the car. Next, we'll give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories, such as a bicycle rack or cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground, will be around 11 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper, will be about 2 inches. Now, we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First thing we need to do is go ahead and lower the exhaust. more
