To mount the carrier to our vehicle well insert the shank of our rack into our receiver hitch and line up the hitch pinholes. Well insert and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt using a inch wrench. With our bike secure to the vehicle next well check some clearance measurements. Weve got about 9 inches of clearance from the furthest point of our vehicle to the closest point of the bike rack. Weve added an overall length of about 13 inches to the rear of the vehicle and have 13 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the bike rack to the ground. more

To mount this bike rack to our vehicle well insert the shank of our rack into the receiver tube on our hitch. Well line up the hitch pinholes and then tighten down our anti-rattle bolt using a inch wrench or socket. Once weve secured the bike rack to our vehicle well take a few clearance measurements. There is about 3 inches of clearance between the furthest point of our vehicle and the closest point of the bike rack. Weve added about 15 inches of overall length to the vehicle and we have about 13 inches of ground clearance between the bottom of the bike rack shank and the ground. more

And this will also work with a 2 inch receiver hitch with the included spacer and thats what well be working with today. To start off our test fit well install the bike rack into the hitch and then well go ahead and tighten down the anti-rattle bolt. Then well go ahead and get some clearance measurements. From the bike rack to the bumper is going to be 5 inches. more

To mount our bike rack to our vehicle well insert the shank of our rack into our hitch and line up the hitch pinhole. Well tighten down the knob for the anti-rattle device and secure the bike rack with the pin and lock. Once weve done that well go over some clearance measurements. Weve got about 2 inches of clearance from the furthest point of our vehicle to the closest part of the bike rack. Weve added about 14 inches of overall length to our vehicle and have 13 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the bike rack to the ground. more

Today on our 2007 Honda Odyssey, well be test fitting part number TH9025, the Thule Apex 4 Bike Carrier. To begin our test fit, well simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch. Well pull the integrated locking hitch pin and as the bike rack shank slides in, well let the locking hitch pin slide into place. As we give it a little tug, ensuring that the pin is in place, we can tighten down the anti-rattle knob, securing it to our vehicle. Now, well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our bike rack ground clearance is 11 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack mast to the back of the vehicle is 7 inches. more

To mount the bike carrier to our vehicle, well fit the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube on our hitch. Well line up the hitch pinholes, feed our anti-rattle bolt through the hitch in the bike rack, and tighten it down using a 3-1/4-inch wrench. With the bolt tightened down, our bike rack is secured and ready to go. First, were going to check for rear vehicle access. Today, we're going to show you how the Rhode Gear Highway 2 Bike Carrier, product number RG8015220, looks and fits on our 2011 Honda Accord. Our Honda Accord is equipped with an aftermarket inch and a quarter class 2 trail hitch so we'll need to remove the 2-inch adapter from our Rhode Gear rack. To install the rack, we simply insert the shank of the rack into the receiver of the hitch. We'll line up the threaded hole in the rack with the pin hole in our hitch, and install the anti-sway bolt and tighten it down. After we tightened down our anti-rattle bolt, we'll go ahead and install our safety clip. With the rack now installed, we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements. more

Today we are going to do a quick review of the Yakima FlipSide 4 bike carrier, using part number Y02426. And we will be demonstrating this on a 2003 Honda Odyssey. We will go ahead and take the bike rack and install it into a 2 inch receiver hitch. We will install the anti-rattle bolt that goes through the hitch and the bike rack. We will tighten it down. That will keep it from moving. Now on the other side we will install the lock that comes with it. While we are down by the hitch, we will give you some measurements to give you a better idea of how it fits on the vehicle. From the bottom of the bicycle rack to the ground we are looking at about 8-3/4 inches. And from the center of the hitch pin hole to the post on the rack we are looking at 12 inches even. 0:42 more

Alright today we are going to review the SportRack Escape 3 bike rack and we will be demonstrating this on a 2003 Honda Odyssey. The first thing we will do is go ahead and put it in the hitch. We will use a class III receiver hitch. We will fasten it in place with the anti-rattle bolt and we will tighten it down with a wrench. And then install our safety pin. While we are close to the bottom of the bike rack, we will give you a quick measurement from the ground to the bottom of this bike rack. And on this one, it is going to be 9-1/4 inches. Alright, we will show you how to lower it. Pull the clip out and then the pin. And you can lower it down and out of the way for easy access to the back of the vehicle.
