CURT Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT premium hanging style bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Chevrolet Equinox. So this is a hanging style bike rack which means the bike is hanging by the frame up here. It's sitting down into our cradles and held in place with these two rubber straps stretched over the frame with a third one around the seat post here, helping to control our side-to-side movement. It doesn't completely eliminate it but it does help quite a bit. And with this you can hold up to four bikes. more

RockyMounts MonoRail 2 Bike Platform Rack Review - 2022 Lincoln Navigator- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail hitch bike rack, and how it fits on our 2022 Lincoln Navigator. It's a two-bike platform-style bike rack, capable of supporting two bikes up to 60 pounds each. Making contact with our bike, and holding it primarily by this wheel hook here, and one additional strap to that back, so it doesn't make any frame contact with our bike at all, which is nice, because if we have a carbon frame bike, we can take it on without having any worries about damages. If we have an alternative frame style bike, or just like a really nice paint job, for whatever reason, doesn't make any frame contact, but still has a secure hold on the bike rack. One of the really nice features that this rack offers, is the ability for it to tilt away with the bike loaded. more

Yakima OnRamp E-Bike Platform Rack with Ramp Review - 2022 Lincoln Navigator- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima on-Ramp hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2022 Lincoln Navigator. The on-ramp is a two-bike platform style bike rack, capable of supporting up to 66 pounds per bike. It also does have an off-road rating, but that's gonna drop that weight capacity down to 40 pounds per bike. As you can see here, we have our e-bike loaded up. Yakima FullTilt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Lincoln Navigator- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima full tilt bike rack and how it fits on our 2022 Lincoln Navigator. It is a hanging style bike rack, capable of supporting up to five bikes, at 150 pounds total. It's going to hold our bikes primarily by the top tube on the frame, using these two zip strips. And one more here as an anti-sway to cut down on some of that side to side movement. So it does make frame contact and in the event that you want to use this rack with some carbon frame bikes, we don't recommend it, 'cause it could damage the frame. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination E hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2022 Lincoln Navigator. The Destination E is a two-bike platform style bike rack capable of supporting up to 70 pounds per bike, so definitely good for those e-bikes. And it's gonna hold onto our bike primarily by this frame clamp here and three straps down at the bottom. A nice feature that this rack offers is the ability for it to tilt away with the bikes loaded up. So we'll loosen up this hand knob here on the backside, push that forward, and then using this center mast here, we can push it down, and it tilts really aggressively, which is nice, 'cause it's a pretty large bike. more

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 2 Electric Bike Platform Rack Review - 2022 Lincoln Navigator- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Hitch Bike Rack, how it fits on our 2022 Lincoln Navigator. Sport Rider SE is a two-bike platform style bike rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 80 pounds each, held primarily on the frame by these frame hooks and two additional straps at the back, or the one in the back and one in the front. So if you do have a carbon frame bike, we don't recommend using this type of bike rack 'cause it could damage the frame while you're driving. And alternative frame bikes should work, 'cause the hooks do go down all the way but that might be something to look out for. The bike rack does offer the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded, which is a nice feature, but we found that with the Navigator and this bike that we have, it doesn't tilt far enough to get into the back. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro hanging style bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2022 Lincoln Navigator. Like I said, this is gonna be a hanging style bike rack which means the bike is held up here by the frame hanging down below the bike rack. We've got two points of contact up top in the form of these rubber straps, stretching over the frame holding it down in the deep cradles, with a third one on the side, limiting our side to side movement helping with bike to bike contact. There is still some movement there but this does do a pretty good job, especially compared to other hanging style racks at limiting that movement. And I will say this is a very entry level hanging style bike rack, so there's not a whole lot of features with this, but if you're looking for something simple, this could be a possible solution. more

But main thing with the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is you have a spare tire. So most bike racks will need the expansion hitch adapter or the hitch extender, which is what we currently have installed. more

The XC2 is a two-bike platform style bike rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 35 pounds each held primarily on the frame by these frame hooks. So, if you do have a carbon frame bike we would recommend not using a bike rack like this, 'cause it does have the potential to damage the frame while you're driving. This is a pretty entry level bike rack so it doesn't have some of the features that some more premium might offer like the ability to tilt away with the bike loaded. So, if we wanna get into the hatch of our vehicle we are gonna have to get the bike off. more

Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Rack Review - 2023 GMC Yukon XL- Video
Hey its Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Chinook two-bike rack on the back of our 2023 GMC Yukon XL. It is a two-bike platform style bike rack that's gonna make primary contact on our frame here using these paddock frame hooks And because it does put that pressure down on our frame. We don't recommend using carbon frame bikes with these just cause it could potentially be damaged while you're driving. It's one of the more entry level bikes that have a couple of features like tilting it away and folding it up and it still offers that weight capacity of 45 pounds, which is nice. Two tilted away, you have to reach back here to this lever so if you do have both bikes loaded up it might be a little bit tricky to get to, but you released that the bike rack tilts and we found that we get plenty of clearance to get into the back of our vehicle From there. more

We are looking at the Hollywood Racks Destination Platform 2 Bike Rack On a platform style bike rack like this, you're gonna have the tires sitting in these grooves here. The frame is gonna be secured on this mass by the cradle so you actually have three attachment points you have on the frame and then you have one on each tire that secures it. Now, with the way that this mounts, this isn't gonna be a good option for some of your carbon frame bikes. And with a 35 pound weight capacity, it's not gonna be suited for your e-bikes or some of your heavier trail bikes. more

It's gonna be really nice for Vans, trucks with tailgates, any sort of situation where you might want to swing the rack away rather than just being able to tilt it down. Let's check it out. Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Toyota RAV4- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt Premium four bike hanging style bike rack and how it fits on the back of our 2022 Toyota RAV4. This is a hanging style bike rack and it does taper towards the end, which we'll get to in just a little bit, but it might be a good option for you if you're trying to transport up to four bikes, at 180 pounds total, where you need 'em to go. Our bike is held in place by these cradles, two on either side with these rubber straps as well as this rubber strap to prevent it from swaying in the back. So it will make frame contact with your bike which is important to keep in mind cuz if you do have a carbon frame bike it could potentially damage the frame while you're driving. Like I mentioned, you can see that it does taper here towards the end. more

It should work okay for most alternative frame bikes but you might have to get a little bit creative. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Chevrolet Suburban- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at how the Inno Tire Hold two bike platform rack fits on a 2023 Chevrolet Suburban. So you have a larger vehicle and you may wanna get some larger bikes onto your rack. You might want something that's easier to load the bikes up onto, but doesn't take up as much space. Kuat NV 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack Review - 2023 GMC Yukon XL- Video

The NV 2.0 is a two-bike, platform-style bike rack capable of supporting up to 60 pounds per bike. It's gonna hold onto our bikes primarily by these frame hooks here and one strap in the back. So, doesn't make any frame contact. And as you can see, we have a carbon frame bike here, so it's not something that I'm gonna be worried about, 'cause if you do have something that makes frame contact, could potentially damage it while you're driving. more

RockyMounts RV and Camper Bike Racks Review - 2022 Toyota Tundra- Video
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts AfterParty SwingAway Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on our 2022 Toyota Tundra. So, like it looks right now, the big benefit of this is that it's a swing away bike rack. So, for your trucks it's gonna be a really solid fit because it allows full clearance with your tailgate and full access to it where we don't have something in our way, so if we need to get something loaded or unloaded, hop in the back or just have a place to sit. One, we have clearance because a lot of times even with a bike rack tilts away, it doesn't have full clearance, and you'll see that a little bit later, but even when it does have full clearance, it's still sitting in front of the tailgate and it doesn't give us a good place to sit. more

Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack for Fat Bikes Review - 2020 Hyundai Palisade- Video
Hey guys, Kevin with etrailer, and today we'll gonna be taking a look at the Saris Freedom Bike Rack for two Fat Bikes here on our 2020 Hyundai Palisade. This platform bike rack is going to have a frame mount style, so that means it's going to attach to the bike frame, so you wanna make sure that you don't use this with any carbon fiber bikes or anything where you can actually damage the paint on it. And it's gonna have a 60 pound per bike capacity while in use with a Class 3 hitch. So that's with that two inch adjustment on the shank itself. Now if you take that adjuster off of there and you're using this in a Class 1 hitch and the inch and a quarter style opening then you're only gonna be limited to a 35 per bike capacity. What makes this bike rack stand out from the original Saris Freedom is it's gonna include these fat bike wheel cradles which is going to allow you to install a bike just like our Fat Bike right here. more

Saris Freedom Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2020 Hyundai Palisade- Video
Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Saris Freedom two bike rack here on our 2020 Hyundai Palisade. This platform style bike rack has easily adjustable wheel cradles as well as a frame mounted clamp which is going to allow you to easily fit a multitude of different frame styles as well as different wheel bases. When you're in a class three hitch with the 2" adapter on the shank of your bike rack, you're gonna be able to hold up to 60 pounds per bike in these wheel cradles. So that's gonna allow you to take your e-bike just like we have right here. Now if you remove that adapter and you need to get down to a class one hitch, so that 1 1/4", you're only gonna have a 35 pound per bike capacity. Now with this bike rack, there is quite a bit of space between the actual bike and your vehicle so you don't have to worry about that really banging up against the back of the vehicle. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Yakima OnRamp on the back of our 2022 Hyundai Tucson. So this is gonna be a platform style bike rack designed to carry e-bikes. Like the name suggests, it does come included with a ramp so it's easy to load and unload your e-bikes. It's got a 66 pound capacity per bike, so it's more than capable of handling even some heavier e-bikes. Just keep in mind that weight capacity when you are using it. more

Yakima RidgeBack Bike Rack Review - 2023 Cadillac XT4- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima RidgeBack on the back of our 2023 Cadillac XT4. The RidgeBack is a four-bike hanging-style bike rack capable of supporting four bikes up to 40 pounds each, holding them in place primarily on the top tube by these cradles, featuring this anti-sway cradle in the back to help limit that back and forth movement, but it does make contact the frame, obviously, to hold the bike so we don't recommend using these types of frames for carbon frame bikes. And if you do have an alternative frame-style bike, you might need to get a bike adaptor bar to make that work. One of the nice features that this bike rack does offer is the ability to tilt away, but we'll have to get the biker removed to do that. Starting first with this anti-sway zip strip, you just pull 'em out, you pinch the sides on either, and you do have to soar these somewhere, but we found that this spot in the back, it's pretty useful for holding them in place while you're getting 'em off. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2023 Subaru Outback Wagon- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2023 Subaru Outback Wagon, we're gonna be checking out the Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Mounted Bike Rack. First impressions of the rack on the back of the Subaru, I think it looks right at home. You know, just about any accessory you put on an Outback or any Subaru for that matter, you know, blends right in, kind of matches that image. And that holds true with this particular rack as well, at least in my opinion. Something else I noticed too is where it's gonna sit in relation to your back window, where the bike is gonna sit. more
