Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Suburban we're going to be test fitting the Softride Hang2, a tilting 2-bike rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number SR27041. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it down with a wrench. In this position we have about 22-1/2" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 4-3/4" away. Overall, we've added about 22-1/2" to the length of the Suburban. Pulling the two silver pin and clips at the top of the rack will allow us to tilt our handlebar cradle up into position. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Suburban we're going to be test fitting the Softride Element Parallelogram, a tilting 4-Bike rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number SR26248. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and then we'll tighten it down with a wrench. In this position we have about 22-1/2" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 5" away. Overall we've added about 13-1/2" to the length of our Suburban. We're now ready to swing our cradle arms into position. To do this we'll pull the silver pins at the top of the mast, rotate them into position, and reinsert the pins to hold them in place. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Suburban, we are going to be test fitting the Pro Series Q Slot platform style tilting two bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches part number PS63134. To being our test we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, slide through our pin and secure it with the clip. In this position we have about twenty four and a half inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about nine inches away and overall we've added about twenty five inches to the length of our Suburban. Pulling the two silver pins located on the outside here at the rear of the rack, it will allow us to tilt our wheel cradles down into position. We'll reinsert the pins to hold them in place. We'll now pull the silver pin located at the base of the center mast. This will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle and as you can see this gives us full access into our cargo area. With our mast back in its upright position, I'd get a quick ground clearance measurement here and it looks like we'll have about twenty six and a quarter inches worth of clearance here at the rear of the rack. more

Today on our 2014 Chevy Cruze, we'll be test fitting the Thule Apex hitch mounted four bike rack part number TH9025. With the two inch adapter removed from the shank of the bike rack we'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank into the opening of the hitch. After allowing the integrated hitch pin to fall into place, we'll then turn the black knob which will engage the anti rattle device. With the bike rack secured we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about ten inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about four inches away and we've added about thirteen inches to the overall length of our Cruze. We can now lift up on the gray lever on the top of the mast which will allow us to swing the cradle arms of the bike rack out. With the cradle arms outward we've added about thirty seven inches to the overall length of our Cruze. You can see with the bike rack in this position, we do have access to our trunk. more

Today with our 2014 Chevrolet Suburban, we're going to be test fitting the Saris Freedom, a platform style four-bike rack for two-inch hitches, Part #SA4414B. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread on our anti-rattle bolt from the left to the right, and tighten it down with a wrench. We'll then secure it with the provided clip. In this position, we have about 22-1/2" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 4-1/2" away, and overall we've added about 17-3/4" to the length of the car. Holding the gray handle at the top of the rack, it will allow us to tilt it away from the vehicle into the platform position. In this position, we have about 29-1/2" worth of ground clearance here at the rear of the rack. The closest point of the rack to the back of our Suburban is now about 10-1/2" away, and overall we've added about 39" to the length of the vehicle. As you can see in this position, we do have access to open our rear hatch. We're now ready to load up our bike. more

With the two inch adapter removed from the shank of our bike rack we'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank into the opening of the hitch. After lining up our pinholes, we'll thread in our anti rattle bolt and then tighten it down using a wrench. With the bike rack secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about ten and a half inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of our Cruze is about eight inches away and with the cradle arms down we've added about twenty inches to the overall length of our Chevy. We can now lift up on the black lever at the top of the mast which will allow us to swing the cradle arms of the bike rack outward. With the cradle arms outward, we've added about forty inches to the overall length of our Cruze. With the mast in it's upright position, you can see that we do have access to our trunk. To be able to load larger cargo, we can lift up on the black lever at the base of the bike rack and tilt the mast of our rack down. more

A nice feature of the Dura Parallelogram is the removable cradle arms. To remove them well simply push over on the two black tabs located on the back of the rack and slide them out of the rear. more

The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 6-3/4 of an inch away, and overall we've added about 15 inches to the length of our Suburban. Pulling the yellow T-handle at the base of the mast will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see, this does give us full access into the hatch. With our mast back in its upright position, it's now time to extend our dual cradle arms. more

For today's test fit we'll be using the Hidden Hitch Ball Mount with an extra long shank, part number 80232 - and it is sold separately. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch. We'll then line up our pinholes, slide in our pin, and secure it with the clip. For our test fit today we're using a simple pin and clip. As you can see, this does allow for movement or shake in our bike rack. more

To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it down with a wrench. We'll then secure it using the provided clip. In this position, we have about 22-1/2 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our vehicle is about 9-1/2 inches away, and overall, we've added about 15-1/4 inches to the length of our Suburban. Pulling the black pin and clip at the base of the mast allows us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see, this gives us full access to our rear hatch. With our mast back in its upright position, we'll now extend our dual cradle arms. To do this, we're going to loosen the black knob located on each side of the rack, move the arms outward, rotate them up into position, and then tighten down that black knob to secure them in place. more

Today we have a 2014 Chevy Tahoe, and we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler Hitch-mounted Hanging 5 Bike Rack, part number HR9200. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. We'll need to line up the pinhole in the shank of our rack with the pinhole in our hitch. Once we do that, we'll thread in our anti-rattle bolt. The anti-rattle bolt is just going to help prevent any wiggle or wobble within the hitch. Once we get that finger tight, we'll then tighten it down using a wrench, give it a good shake, and then we'll secure it with a clip on the other side. With the bike rack secure, we'll go ahead and give you a couple of clearance measurements. For ground clearance, we have about 22-1/4 inches. Closest part of the rack to the closest part of the vehicle is going to be about this angled piece right here. more

Today we have a 2014 Chevy Tahoe. We'll be doing a test fit of the Pro Series Q-Slot Platform Style Hitch Mounted 2 Bike Rack, part number PS63134. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the rack into the opening of the hitch. We'll then need to line up the pinholes in our rack with the pinhole in our hitch and we'll slide our standard 5/8ths hitch-pin into the pin holes and then secure it with the clip. With the bike rack secure, I'll go over a couple clearance measurements for you, for ground clearance we have about 24 1/2 inches, the closest part of the rack to the closest part of the vehicle is probably going to right here at this rise, about 6 inches away, and then overall we've added about 25 1/4 inches to the overall length of our Tahoe. Now I'll go ahead and show you how to lower the platform down. There are three silver pins here at the base, undo two of these to lower the platform. Just pull out the pin, kind of wiggle it a little bit, and then reinsert it. more

Here we have a 2014 Chevy Tahoe, and we'll be doing a test fit of the Rhino Rack hitch mounted hanging 4 bike rack, part # RBC038. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the rack into the opening of the hitch. What we'll need to do is line up the hole in our bike rack with the hole in the shank. Now you can see that there are 2 settings here just to give you a couple of options depending on your vehicle configuration but since there's a lot of space here. I'm going to put it on the closest one just to give us some more strength and durability. Oops, you're going to need to go from the right hand side, passenger's side, which is where the threads are. Then use a wrench, tighten it down. more

Once that's done, once we have the pinholes lined up, we'll thread in the anti-rattle bolts, then we can tighten it down using a wrench. Today I'm going to be using the anti-rattle bolt that secures with a clip on the other side. If you we're using the anti-rattle bolt that comes with the lock, you need to insert it from the passenger's side just to make sure it doesn't in contact with the7 way, but Line up the holes, thread in the bolt. I can secure it with a wrench. more

Today we have a 2014 Chevy Tahoe and we'll be doing a quick test-fit of the Swagman XTC4 hitch-mounted platform-style four-bike rack part number S64665. We'll begin our test-fit but sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. We'll then need to line up the pinholes in our shank with the pinholes in our hitch. The bike rack is kind of heavy so maybe it will be difficult just to get the pinholes lined up. We'll take our antiradar bolt and because the 7-way here is on our vehicle we'll need to insert the bolt from the passenger side. We'll thread-in the antiradar bolt good finger-tight and then we'll tighten it down using a wrench. more

Then take our pin, slide it through from the left to the right, and then we'll thread that on in. We'll take our wrench. We'll tighten that down, and we'll secure it with the provided clip here on the other side. Now, the rack's going to offer us about 22-1/2 inches worth of ground clearance. more

Speaker: Today we have a 2014 Chevy Tahoe and will be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler Hitch Mounted Hanging 4 Bike Rack, part number HR8500. Well start off our test fit by sliding the shank of the rack into the opening of the hitch. Well then need to line up the pin hole on our bike rack here with the pin hole on our hitch. Slide it in, then well thread in our anti-rattle bolt and well tighten it down using a wrench and once everything is all nice and snug, well then secure it with a clip here on the other side. With the bike rack secured, well now go over just a couple clearance measurements. From the back of the bike rack, we have about 22 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the rack which is about this angle piece here to the rear bumper is about 3 inches away and then overall, weve added about 10-1/4 inches to the overall length of our Tahoe. Now what well need to do is remove this black pin here at the top of the mast, pop that off, pull the pin out. more

After lining up the pin holes, we'll thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes, and tighten it down with a wrench. With the bike rack secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 21 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about four inches away, and we've added about 12 inches to the overall length of our Suburban. We'll now go ahead and remove the pin at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out. With the cradle arms out, we've added about 29 1/2 inches to the overall length of our Suburban. To access the cargo area, we can remove the pin at the base of the bike rack, and tilt the mast down. As you can see, we can easily gain access to the rear hatch. To load up a bike, we'll make sure the mast is in its upright position. more
