Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2013 Chevrolet Silverado

Speaker 1: Today on this 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs for the rear axle, part number F2596.Now here's what our airbags look like installed. The reason you're gonna want a set of airbags for your truck is quite simple. If you're towing a heavy trailer, like in our customer's case, with a fifth wheel or you haul a lot of heavy wet in the bed of your truck, the back of your truck's gonna sag down. Now it's not gonna allow for your factory suspension, especially your shocks, to be able to absorb the bumps as you're driving down the road. They'll be more compressed and they won't be able to have full range of travel to give you a smooth ride. Also, you're gonna find out that as your back end comes down, you're gonna have less weight on the front of your truck because you're not gonna have the steering, the handling, the braking, and the safety that you're looking for. more

Best 2013 Chevrolet Silverado Suspension Options

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best suspension enhancements for your 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500. We've got three our basic types of helper springs here. Here we're going to have the jounce-style helper spring, and in the middle we're going to have our air helper springs, and here on the end is going to be our leaf spring helper springs. Now for each style of our helper springs here we do carry a full line of different products. Now, they may look different, have a different color, or possibly a different brand, but this is just a representation of the style that we carry, and you can find all of these on our website. Now, if we've ever hauled a heavy load in our truck, we've all experienced the sagging that the back end does. Not only is it putting extra strain on our rear suspension, but it's also pulling up on the front suspension, which misaims our headlights, the tires aren't making good contact, and in the back it is wearing out our suspension. more

Super Springs SumoSprings Custom Helper Kit Installation - 2013 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on our 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500, we'll be installing the SuperSprings Sumosprings custom bumper kits; part number SSR-209-40. To begin our install, we'll first need to remove the older manufacturer's bumpstops. The bumpstops are bolted into the bumpstop cup up through the center of the bumpstop. We'll need to remove the bolt so we can remove the bumpstop. To give ourselves a little more working room, we're going to go ahead and jack up the body of the vehicle; creating more space between the bumpstop and the axle. Now we can go ahead and get our socket on the head of the bolt and remove it. Now, for this application, we're going to use a ten millimeter socket to get on the head of the bolt. Once we have the bolt out of the well nut, built into the cup seat, we'll go ahead and pull the bumpstop out. more
