Today on our 2009 Chevy Traverse, well be installing a Curt Hitch part number 13424. The first step of our install well be removing the rear fascia door. To remove the fascia door, well simply take the tabs and turn them 45 degrees and then pull down on the fascia door unlocking it from its position. Then well need to go ahead and lower the exhaust. Before we lower the exhaust, well put a safety strap underneath so that we can control the rated descent. Now to remove the exhaust hangers from the metal brackets, well simply spray them down with some spray lubricant and then use our pry bar to remove the rubber isolator from the metal hanger.Then well go ahead and use the safety strap to safely lower the exhaust out of the way and gain access to the frame rail where well have a total of four attachment points, two on each side. more

Today, on this 2009 Chevrolet Traverse, we are going to install part number 75528 from Draw Tite. This is what the hitch looks like when installed on the vehicle. Next, we will go ahead and give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From top of receiver opening down to the ground is going to be 18-1/2 inches and from the center of the hitch pinhole to the edge of the bumper, is going to be 6 inches. Now, I will go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. The very first step is to go ahead and remove the panel that is at the center of the bumper towards the bottom, that will give us room for our hitch. more
