Best 1998 Ford Van Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitches for your 1998 Ford Van. These are going to be your hitch options. Up top here we have the Draw-Tite Class 3, which is going to be part number 75703. Here in the middle we have the CURT Class 3, which is going to be part number 13053. Finally, down here on the bottom we have a CURT Class 4, which is going to be part number 14053. Now these are all 2" receiver tubes, but as you can see, there is a slight difference. As far as weight goes, our Draw-Tite is going to have a 600 pound tongue weight, which is the force pushing down. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 1998 Ford Van - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 1998 Ford Econoline van we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch part number 41906. Here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now let's go ahead and we'll give you a couple measurements to help you choose some accessories for your hitch such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the opening of the hitch to the ground is approximately 17 1/2 inches. This hitch extends past your bumper approximately four inches. Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. We will begin by pointing out the locations that the trailer hitch will mount to the frame of the vehicle. The rear most mounting location is the one that we'll need to enlarge. more
