Here at etrailer.com, we install, test and review a lot of different products to help you as a customer make a more educated decision before your purchase. And today we're gonna be working on a 2017 Toyota RAV4, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'll be showing you how to install a class 3 hitch by curt. This is what our hitch is gonna look like installed. As you can see the only visible part is gonna be our receiver tube. So our cross tube is gonna be completely concealed and it's gonna look nice and factory. more

Today on our 2017 Toyota RAV4, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the etrailer Class III custom fit trailer hitch receiver. Here's what our hitch looks like once we have it fully installed. You can see the cross tube is going to be visible, it's going to hang right down right below the bumper. Our hitch is going to offer us a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening, so we'll have a lot of different options when it comes to accessories, like if we want to mount up a bike rack or cargo carrier, or if we need to put a ball mount in to tow a small trailer.The way we're going to mount all of our accessories is through the hitch pin hole here on the side. Our hitch is going to accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip. These are not included in the kit, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to make sure your accessories are secure. more

Best 2017 Toyota RAV4 Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2017 Toyota RAV4. Up top here we're going to have our Class 3 Draw-Tite. Right below that we'll have our Class 3 EcoHitch. Below that we'll have our Class 3 etrailer. Then finally at the top bottom we'll have our Class 3 CURT.Now if it we're me looking for a hitch, I personally would go with the top one, the Draw-Tite, because I'm mainly going to be using it for recreational purposes like a bike rack. But let's take a closer look at all of these and look over some of the features.Now right away you may notice that the Draw-Tite and the EcoHitch are going to have a very different design from the CURT and etrailer hitch. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Toyota Rav4- Video
Speaker 1: Today on this 2017 Toyota RAV4 we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class 3 trailer hitch receiver, Part Number 76134. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. What's great about this hitch is that we have plenty of clearance around our fascia, making this a great hitch to use with bike racks and cargo carriers. Unlike other hitches on the market, this particular hitch is concealed behind our fascia, so we don't see any of it sticking out. This gives us a nice, clean look.On the bottom of our receiver here you'll find our rolled steel safety chain loops. What's nice about these, even if we have a large diameter safety chain hook like this one for our trailer, we can still easily clip on and clip off. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Toyota RAV4 - Draw-Tite- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Toyota RAV4 we're going to be installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame trailer hitch, part number 75235. Here you can see the crosstube is going to be visible slightly. The receiver tube is going to be about flush with the rear of the vehicle but it's not going to stick out too far where you have to worry about hitting your leg walking by it. It's a Class 3 hitch that will allow you to pull a wide variety of accessories. It's going to have a standard 5/8 hole here for your receiver pin. Your receiver pin is not going to be included with the hitch. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Toyota RAV4, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class II, custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number 36588. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed on our RAV4. The cross tube is going to be visible, just right below the bumper. But it's not going to be distracting and taking away from any of the looks.It is a Class II, so it's going to give us that inch, and a quarter by inch, and a quarter receiver tube opening. And as you can see, it has that reinforced collar, not only giving it added strength, but just an overall clean, finished look to it. So here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. Our cross tube is going to be visible, and it's going to sit right below our bumper, but it's not going to distract from any of the looks of our Rav4. It is a class three hitch, which means it's going to give us that 2" by 2" receiver tube opening, and it has that reinforced collar, giving it added strength and just an overall nice, finished, clean look. Since it is a class three, it's going to have a wide variety of accessories available for it, and the way we're going to mount those is this hitch pin hole right here. It is going to accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Toyota RAV4 - Curt C12108- Video
Speaker 1: Today, in our 2017 Toyota RAV4, we're going to be installing the 1-1/4 inch Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C12108. And with our hitch installed, this is what it's gonna look like. As you can see, it does hang down below the number, and its tubular design can be seen, but it's fairly far back, so it's not gonna distract too much from the body lines of the vehicle.The hitch, however, does extend out nicely, so it's really flush with the bumper, which will allow it to work with multiple accessories, without clearance issues. It's a class two, 1-1/4 by 1-1/4 inch receiver, which will allow you to carry multiple accessories, such as bike racks and cargo carriers.It's gonna use a standard half inch hitch pin, which is included with this hitch, which will secure all your accessories to the hitch. Our plate here, at the bottom, is gonna have two smaller to medium size safety chain holes, which will allow it to work with several chains. You may have some difficulties with going to the side, but straight on is pretty good.This hitch is gonna have a 350 pound tongue weight, which is the downward pressure on your receiver here. more
