Thule Roof Rack Review - 2016 Kia Sorento

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2016 Kia Sorento, we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Thule Aeroblade Edge Roof Rack System, that consists of part numbers TH7602-TH7602. That's gonna be our two load bars we have on top. Down here, we have our fit kit, which is part number THKIT4056. So as you can see, these bars have a nice aerodynamic shape to them, that coupled with this rubber strip up top, is gonna cut down on wind noise and drag. If we take our end cap off, we're gonna see that with this rubber strip, we can utilize T track accessories. All we have to do is remove the end cap, we would remove the strip, and cut it to length of whatever accessory we wanna use and insert the strip back.We see down here, as we tighten the load bars to our side rails we have on this vehicle, kind of just clamps down securely like so. more

Yakima Roof Rack Installation - 2016 Kia Sorento

Today on our 2016 Kia Sorento we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Jet Stream Roof Rack System consisting of part numbers Y00425, these are the Yakima Jet Stream Crossbars, 50" long, as well as part number Y00145, these are the Ridge Line Towers for the Yakima Crossbars, and finally part number Y06013, this is the Ridge Clip Fit Kit for the Kia Sorento. The Yakima Jet Stream Roof Rack System is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your vehicle. It can carry bike racks, cargo baskets, cargo boxes, and ski and snowboard carriers. It has a weight capacity of 165 pounds between the two bars, although you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand that weight. If we remove our end cap here you can see that we can use T-track accessories by pushing down this center strip and sliding them into place. Also this center strip, combined with the aerodynamic shape of our bar will cut down wind noise and drag while we're driving. The end caps do have these knock-outs where you can replace them with Yakima SKS Lock Cores, so you can make whatever accessories you're carrying as well as your roof rack keyed alike and secured to your roof. more
