SumoSprings Rebel Rear Axle Helper Springs Installation - 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Hi there Silverado owners. Today on your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs for the rear axle. And this is what our SumoSprings look like when they're installed. They replace your factory jounce bumper and we'll attach right to that jounce bumper cup while the other end attaches to your axle, right on the perch for the jounce bumper used to contact. The big difference here is that the SumoSpring is significantly larger. So we're going to make contact much sooner than what our factory jounce bumper was as the jounce bumper from the factory is really just designed for when your suspension is bottomed out but this one here is designed to give us support throughout the load as it's being squished. more

Hi there, heavy haulers. Today, we're going to be taking a look at SumoSprings' line of Rebel Custom Helper Springs for the rear axle. You'll want to use our fit guide to help determine the appropriate spring for your vehicle. The weight capacity of the springs are going to vary between 2,600 and 5,000 pounds, and there may be more than one set for your particular vehicle with different weight ratings, so you could choose a softer or a more aggressive, more supportive one, if you want.SumoSprings are designed similarly to a jounce bumper, which goes between your frame and your axle, except our SumoSpring here is significantly larger. This is a two piece design, so that way we have maximum travel when extending our suspension. With a jounce bumper, you only get compression support once your suspension is completely bottomed out. more

They connect between the rear axle and the frame to offer load leveling support throughout the back of your vehicle. What I like about the SumoSprings is that they are designed to work with one another to help minimize sway as well as jauntiness when going down the road, they're designed to compress up to 50% to provide you with a maximum of 5,000 pounds of load leveling support. Now you do want to keep in mind this doesn't increase the amount that you can carry, just how much the SumoSprings will help assist supporting.Before we begin our installation, we're going to go ahead and simulate a heavy load. We've got a water tank here with about 2000 pounds of water weight on it. We've got it on our trailer, hooked up to the back of our vehicle so we know we've got the back loaded down plenty good. more

Now these are custom fit for the 2017 through the current Ford F-550 cabin chassis. So if you're having some issues with body sway or roll with your cabin chassis, maybe it's kind of having a rough ride, especially as you're hauling heavy stuff down the road. This is a nice solution to solve that issue.The thing that I like about these particular springs of as opposed to something like air springs is that there's no maintenance required with these. You put them in there and then they're good to go. more

Hi there, Super Duty owners. Today in your 2018 Ford F-350 Super Duty, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Torklift's StableLoad Suspension Enhancement System. These are available with either a black powder coat finish or stainless steel, and there are two different kits available, depending if you need to drill holes in your overload springs, or if you have preexisting holes in your overload springs. You can use our fit guide to help you determine the appropriate kit to get. But it's always a good measure to just double-check your overload springs and looks for holes.You can see here where our bolt runs down through our overload spring, this is where you're going to want to look to see if you have a hole there or not. If there's no hole, you'll need the kit that comes with a couple of drill bits. more

And this is what our airbags look like when they're installed. They're placed between our frame and our rear axle to provide load leveling support for our truck bed. One of the things that's really nice about these airbags is that they have internal jounce bumpers in them. So if you're running at the minimum pressure, you do always have a jounce bumper in there, so your suspension can never bottom out.But you do also have the option to air up your airbags to adjust for how much weight you've got in the back of your vehicle. more

Before we begin our installation, we're going to take some baseline measurements so we can see the difference of how our truck is going to perform when it's loaded, without any suspension enhancements and with it loaded with our new Timbren suspension enhancement. So currently, we've got it unloaded so we can get a baseline of what it's completely stock. And we're at about 39 and a half inches right now. And here in the front, we're sitting at right at about 38 and three quarter. We're now going to take about a 1000 pounds of water, and we're going to place it in the back of the truck and recheck our measurements to see what it's like loaded up. more

SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Hi there Chevrolet owners. Today on your 2016 Silverado 2500, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install SuperSprings 00:00:08 custom suspension stabilizer and sway control kit for factory leaf springs. And this is what our SuperSprings look like when they're installed. They will install above your factory leaf springs and they'll provide additional assistance for your leaf springs, acting just as in another lead spring plate. They perform similarly as an overload spring, but they do offer support pretty much throughout the entire travel. If our vehicle's unloaded, they offer minimal support so it feels very much like a factory ride height, but the more we load our vehicle down, the more this spring is going to work with our factory springs to provide us additional support which will help keep our ride height from dipping as much under a heavy load, and it'll also offer increased sway control during evasive maneuvers and when going over uneven bumps.Our shackle attaches our new spring to the bottom side of our factory springs, and we have a roller here down at the bottom that allows it to move as necessary as our spring flexes. more

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Jeep Gladiator, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs. Before we put our air bags on, what I'd like to do is take a few measurements that way we can have some baseline numbers, that way we can compare those numbers once we have our airbags installed. So what we're going to measure is our factory ride height with our factory suspension and no weight in the bed of our Jeep. So here at the front, if you go from the ground to the edge of our wheel well, it's going to be right at 36 inches and here at the back take that same measurement, it's going to be right at 38 inches. So I went ahead and put a pretty good amount of weight in the bed of our Jeep.If I had to guess, I'd say probably about 500 pounds. more

You just need something to kind of help lift the back end of your vehicle while you're towing, maybe something like a small pop-up camper, a load of gravel in the back of your truck, or some other kind of light duty work. This is going to be something that you just use occasionally. It's not meant for everyday towing or really heavy duty use. more

These are going to be the good, better, best echelon from Air Lift for your vehicle. Basically the main reason why you'd want to get an air spring system for your truck is to make sure that you have everything nice and leveled out. Whenever you're carrying anything heavy in the back of your vehicle, whether it's on a hitch ball, on a gooseneck trailer, fifth wheel, or you just have a lot of stuff loaded up in that bed, it's going to cause some issues. It loads down the back-end, causes squat and also is going to be stressing those OEM components. Now, our suspension components can't do their job as well as they should. more

This particular kit is going to have the internal jounce bumpers as well. So the main reason why you'd want to get air springs for your vehicle is because you're going to be towing some heavy loads in the back of your truck, maybe a load of rock, a gravel or something heavy in that bed, or maybe a hitch ball on your bumper, a fifth wheel trailer gooseneck, whatever the case might be. In any of those situations, you're going to be putting a lot of weight on that back end of your vehicle. That's going to squat the backend down, putting more strain on your OEM components and it's also going to lift up the front end of your vehicle.Your steering geometry is therefore going to be affected because now your wheels are not at the same angle that they we're before, so you don't get that same controlled feeling that you normally get from your steering. more

SumoSprings Rebel Front Axle Helper Springs Installation - 2014 Thor Windsport Motorhome- Video
Hi there Thor owners today and your 2014 Thor Windsport we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper springs for the front axle. This is what our SumoSprings are going to look like when it's installed, when you've got your suspension lifted up. You can see that they are two separate pieces, which allows your suspension to have further range of travel. This is nice because your SumoSprings are never going to be fighting the rest of your suspension components when they need to separate apart. But when they collapse and come together, let's say whenever you go over a bump or a pothole, the spring will compress here and provide additional support to the rest of your suspension so you won't notice so much of that road shock inside the cabin. It also helps to minimize sway because the springs will be compressing, trying to push it back to its normal ride position.Since there's one on each side, as the motor home wants to tip to one side, it'll push up and once it gets up to the top and wants to go to the other side, the seamless spring over there is ready to contact to push it back straight again. more

We're going to be taking a look at the Air Lift Load Lifter XL Air Springs here for our 2016 Ford F-250.Now, in order to show you the benefits our Air Springs are going to have on our F-250 here, we're going to go ahead and take some measurements for you. The measurements we're going to be taking are from the ground to the top inside edge of our wheel well, with the factory suspension, and our truck completely unloaded.So we're going to do this now for the rear, and we're going to get about 41 1/2 inches. Now we're going to head to the front. For the front, we're going to have about 41 inches from the ground to the top inside edge of our wheel well here.Now that we have our factory suspension unloaded, we have those measurements, we're going to go ahead and place a load in the bed of our truck. And we're going to retake our measurements here, to see how much they changed.Keep in mind, we just have the factory suspension. more

Hi there Ram owners. Today in your 2019 Ram 3500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to, install Air Lifts LoadLifter 5000 air helper springs. And you might be wondering, is airbags the best option for me And well, that's really going to depend on what you're looking for. If you're wanting something that's completely maintenance-free, then I would recommend Timbrens, which are a jounce bumper replacement. The larger Timbren jounce bumper is going to be larger so it'll make contact sooner with your axle and it's going to provide more cushion and support than what your factory jounce bumper will. The thing is with the Timbrens is that they don't really offer a lot of cushion, they do make your ride a bit stiffer, but they offer that support that you need. more
