Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer- Video

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination E, two bike platform rack for your heavy electric bikes. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The Destination E is really designed for those electric bikes. It have an included ramp, which makes it easier to ramp the bikes up and onto your hitch receiver. Now with the Trailblazer, since the hitch receiver isn't that high up off the ground, that actually makes it easier for the ramp, since you have a shallower angle, just make sure if you have that two-inch hitch receiver to support that extra weight, since you have a weight capacity of 70 pounds per bike. Now, one feature that is pretty unique as well to this rack is the Tilt-Away feature. more

RockyMounts AfterParty Swing Away 2 Bike Rack Review - 2017 Toyota RAV4- Video

Hi everybody, Cooper here from etrailer and today we are going to be looking at our RockyMounts AfterParty on our 2017 Toyota RAV4. The AfterParty is a platform style bike rack that's gonna be able to hold up to two bikes and then those bikes are going to be weighted for 60 pounds each. The way that the AfterParty holds the bike is actually in a frameless contact way where it is ratcheting arms on either side of the bike, so that way it is held perfectly within place. One of the big advantages of the AfterParty is it's feature to go ahead and tilt away from the car allowing us a lot more access to our back end compared to some of the other bike racks that don't. So with something like this, I'm a lot more comfortable sitting down, maybe actually having the room and availability to tie my shoes because it is swung back away, you know, before or after loading, hitting the trails. And in order to lift it back up we actually don't have to pull on the handle. more

Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack Review - 2018 Audi A4- Video

Hello neighbors it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Kuat Transfer Bike Rack. Now this is a platform style two bike rack available an inch and a quarter. Also able to be adapted to two inches which is gonna be great on our 2018 Audi A4. Now our Audi today has a stealth hitch installed and that's gonna be a two inch receiver, but some of the other hitches that we offer are gonna be inch and a quarter and that's where this is a really nice option. My personal vehicle has an inch and a quarter and this is a bike rack that I've used on my own personal vehicle, but also you can put the adapter on and be ready for a two inch. So if you have a smaller vehicle or you just need a bike rack that you can transfer from car to car, this is gonna be a great option. more

It's really easy to use, it works with a pretty wide range of bikes, not as many as some others, but a pretty good range. And it's going to have some unique things like color options, you don't get that with every bike rack around, so if you wanna get this matched to your vehicle and have it look really nice on the back, you can do that. Hi, everyone, Aiden here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail Platform-Style Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Toyota RAV4. Now, it's going to be a more high end platform-style bike rack, very easy to operate and works with a wide range bikes. This particular one is gonna be a dual wheel mount style, which means we're holding the bike by the tires on both sides using these integrated wheel hoops. Now, for this type of style, it's not gonna make any frame contact, making this a good option for carbon frame bikes, alternative frame bikes, and with a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, good for some of our e-bikes too. Like many other platform racks, you do have the ability to tilt this away with the bikes loaded. more

This one holds the bike by the tire using this wheel hook up front, and that means it doesn't make any sort of frame contact on the bike. So the Sherpa is very popular because it is a stylish rack, it has really smooth movements, and it can fit a lot of bikes. Now there are some downsides to this like if you have a very heavy electric bike, this has a max weight capacity of 40 pounds, but other than that, it's a really good fit for Hyundai Santa Fe and we'll talk about why. So the first thing we're gonna talk about is the tilt-away feature. There's gonna be this lever in the center of the rack. Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack Review - 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport- Video

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Premium hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport. The Curt Premium is a hanging style bike rack that's going to hold onto our bikes by the top tube as well as an anti-sway cradle on the other side. It's gonna be able to support up to 180 pounds total, but because it does make contact with the frame on the top, if you want to use this with your carbon frame bikes, we'd recommend it against it. It does have a nice taper towards the end to accommodate kid's bikes, if you're going to be taking those out to the trail. But if you have an alternative style bike, you might need to pick up a bike adapter bar to make it work. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt Premium Hitch Bike Rack and how it fits on a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. The Curt Premium is a hanging style bike rack capable of supporting four bikes up to 180 pounds total. It's gonna hold onto our bike primarily by the top tube and let the rest of the bike hang down, hence the name. It's gonna support our bike with three straps, two on the top and one anti-sway strap on the side here. As you can see here with the front tire, it is free hanging right now though, so if we rotate it all the way, it'll make contact with the back of our Sierra, so we recommend picking up some stabilizer straps if you can, just to secure that in place. more

The MonoRail is a two-bike platform-style bike rack capable of sporting two bikes up to 60 pounds. It holds onto our bikes primarily with this wheel hook here in the front and one additional strap down here in the back, so if you wanna use this with your carbon frame bikes, you can, you maybe just have a really nice paint job and you wanna avoid that frame contact, for either case, you can do that, if you have an alternative frame-style bike, you'll avoid that as well, and it is rated for the weight of your heavy e-bike, so you can use those too. First feature that we're going to show off is the fact that it can tilt away with the bike loaded up, and I really like where the handle is located to tilt it away, 'cause it's in the front, and if I have another bike loaded up, I can just pull that anyway. And it tilts pretty aggressively. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Toyota Tacoma- Video

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman XC2 hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2022 Toyota Tacoma. It's gonna be a two-bike platform style bike rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 35 pounds a piece, holding onto them exclusively from the center mast frame hook right here. No straps or anything else so this is the only place that's gonna hold onto your bike and it does make frame contact so if you wanna use your carbon frame bikes, we'd recommend against it 'cause it could potentially damage your frame while you're driving. And if you have a really aggressive alternative frame you might have to pick up a bike adapter bar. A really simple entry level bike rack. more

CURT Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Toyota Tacoma- Video

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt Premium hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2022 Toyota Tacoma. The Curt Premium is a hanging style bike rack capable of supporting four bikes up to 180 pounds total. It's going to hold onto our bikes primarily by the top tube with one anti-sway cradle here in the back. It does taper down towards the end to accommodate some kids' bikes, but if you do have an aggressive alternative frame style bike you might have to pick up a bike adapter bar to make it work. Also, if you have carbon frame bikes, we'd recommend using against this type of rack because it does make that primary frame contact and could potentially damage your frame while you're driving. more

They do swivel and they are padded, but we still don't recommend using bikes like carbon frame bikes because it could potentially damage the frame as that's where our main point of contact is.
