Today, on our 2014 Subaru Outback, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Roadway Hanging Style Platform Bike Rack. Part #TH912XTR. As you can see, we do already have everything loaded up on our vehicle. We're going to first show you how we strap down the bike. We've got two cradles holding the bike in place with three straps. Two on the frame here and then one as your anti-sway strap. That's going to keep that bike from swinging back and forth, and possibly damaging your vehicle. To release those, we just pull down and lift up. We save the anti-sway strap for last. We can just pull our bike straight off and set it off to the side. Now, it's a great habit to get into, to always replace your straps so you don't lose or damage any of them. That will just keep them in place whenever you're not the bike rack. All right. Now, let's take a few measurements. Overall to the vehicle, we're adding about 28 inches with our arms extended out. more
