I definitely recommend this rack to anyone looking to haul really heavy E-bikes in a very secure manner. Now it's gonna be able to hold two bikes, 80 pounds each. So really almost any bikes are gonna be accommodated with this rack, and it's gonna have three tie down points, one on each tire, and we're gonna have this hook that secures our frame. Now you're, you'd really crank down on this so this is gonna provide a lot of pressure there, providing that additional security. more

Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Bike Rack Review - 2023 Toyota Highlander- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer and today we're gonna be talking about the Hollywood Racks Destination four bike rack on the 2023 Toyota Highlander. This is gonna be a very versatile entry-level bike rack if you wanna haul four bikes. This is gonna have a maximum capacity of 35 pounds per bike and it's gonna have three strap down points. One's gonna be on each tire and the third one is gonna be attached to your frame. So since it is making frame contact we don't recommend any carbon frame bikes but since this is adjustable too, it's gonna be great if you wanna try to accommodate a lot of alternative frame bikes. Since this is an entry level bike rack, It doesn't have a tilt away feature but something I do like about how it interacts with the Highlander is we still have a lot of clearance in between the back of our vehicle and our bike. more

This is gonna be a hanging bike rack that's gonna be able to hold up to five bikes. And it's gonna be at a very affordable price for the amount of bikes it can hold. Something to keep in mind. It can hold each bike up to 40 pounds each, but it does have a max capacity of 150 pounds so I'd try not to exceed either one of those numbers. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Jayco Redhawk Motorhome- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination four and we're actually able to take a look at how it fits on our 2019 Jayco Redhawk motor home. Now this is gonna be a bike rack that a lot of people are interested in if you wanna carry around multiple bikes without taking up a lot of space or a lot of money. This is gonna be a really sturdy rack for its entry level price point. And you have a lot of versatility there for bikes' different shapes and sizes. Now, what it is not though is it's not an electric bike rack, it only has a 35 pound per bike weight capacity. And you do have to be mindful that when you have it on your motor home, while it is motor home rated there will be a little bit more movement behind your motor home versus behind a car. more

Maybe not all of them but a lot of them. But since we are making frame contact, that means we don't recommend using carbon frame bikes on this rack. So that's something to keep in mind that it will not be able to accommodate those E-bikes, but it's gonna use a dual wheel mount that's gonna be attaching on your front wheel and your rear wheel. So it's gonna be able to accommodate your carbon frame and alternative frame bikes. Since this is one of our more premium platform style bike racks, it does have a tilt away feature. more

So unfortunately, we won't be able to use any carbon framed bikes, and it'll also be able to carry a lot of other bike shapes and sizes. So right off the bat, you're gonna need a hitch receiver on your CR-V, a two inch hitch receiver if you wanna carry this bike rack. This is gonna be a two plus two rack, so you can quickly remove this extension if you wanna convert it back to a two bike rack or add the extension if you wanted to turn it into a four bike platform rack. Now, it also has its downside though, which is it has a maximum weight capacity of 35 pounds per bike, plus it does not tilt away. So if you have extra heavy electric bikes over 35 pounds, I do recommend taking a look at something else. Those are gonna be more premium racks though, like the Saris MHS might be your best bet. more

Comparison of the Hollywood Destination and the Yakima On Ramp E-Bike Racks- Video
So if you wanna carry around some heavy electric bikes you might have noticed that electric bikes seem to be getting heavier and heavier which also makes it trickier and trickier to get them onto your rack and off of it. So we've noticed that different brands have different solutions to making this an easier process for you. A common solution is to add ramps. So we have two bike racks here that have ramps included with them. There's the Yakima OnRamp as well as the Hollywood Racks Destination E bike rack and they do a lot of things similarly. You have the same features but they also do things differently and we're gonna explore those features. more

So with this bike rack, you have a really cool dual-wheel mount system, where you just hit the pistons (pistons clicking) and the mount goes up (mount clicks) and you're ready to load your bike. When you load your bike on there, (mount clicking) just bring it in, and you secure the bike by the front and the rear wheels. If you're familiar with the Kuat Piston Pro X, the main difference between the X and this one is the Kashima Coating as well as the wiring and taillights that the Pro X has and this one has not. But other than that, you have the really cool benefits of having a very easy-to-use bike rack. more

So, as cool as that all sounds, the downside to it though is it does not tilt away, it doesn't have an electric bike weight capacity, and you do have to be mindful that it does take a bunch of different steps to fully secure your bike and figuring that out the first time can be a little tricky. more

What makes it so versatile is its ability to hold up the 60 pounds per bike, holding two bikes, so that you're gonna be able to hold your heavy e-bikes. Which means unfortunately that our heavier e-bikes are not going to be an option when using this rack. Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack Review - 2021 Nissan Rogue- Video
Hey, everybody, Cooper here from etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Rack Sport Rider SE on our 2021 Nissan Rogue. What we have here is going to be a platform-style bike rack able to accommodate up to two bikes at an impressive 80 pounds each for their weight rating, which means that our heavier e-bikes are going to be an option for this. Now unfortunately, one of our main points of contact is going to be from the center mass, and it's going to be making that frame contact, which means that our carbon frame bikes unfortunately are not going to be an option for this rack. However, since our hook does have the ability to move up and down this rack pretty freely, that means that we're going to be able to accommodate most alternative frame bikes. Now, this rack does come with a tilt-away feature. more

Unless we're going to be taking it off-roading or putting in our RV, then that drops our weight capacity down to 40. So if we do have it on a normal car, 66 pounds each. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman XC2 two bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of this 2021 Chevrolet Equinox. Now the XC2 is gonna be a platform style bike rack holding the bike in these wheel hoops at the bottom and primarily keeping it still with our frame hook up top. That's going to press the bike down into those wheel hoops and keep it secure. Now this is going to be able to handle 35 pounds per bike and because it makes the contact of the frame it isn't the best fit for carbon frame bikes and for alternative frame bikes you're gonna need a bike adapter bar because this hook needs somewhere relatively flat to grab onto to get a good hold on the bike. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Toyota Highlander- Video
Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Hollywood Racks SE Sport Rider for four bikes on the 2023 Toyota Highland. Now, this is gonna be a great choice if you go riding with a bunch of friends and need to haul those heavier like e-bikes, since it can haul four bikes up to 50 pounds each. Another thing to note is we're gonna have three tight on points. We're gonna have one on each tire using this hook and loop strap and then one at the top of the frame here using just this hook. This hook's nice and padded. more

Hey everybody, Cooper here from etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat Transfer on our 2023 Kia Telluride. Now the Kuat Transfer is going to be a platform style bike rack able to accommodate up to three bikes with an individual weight capacity of 40 pounds each. We're gonna have two main points of contact, the first being our wheel hook here on our front wheel and a strap here on our back tire. What all that really means together is that unfortunately we're not really going to be able to support the weight of our heavy electric e-bikes but we are going to be able to accommodate for those carbon frame and alternative frame bikes. The Transfer is going to be a more premium style bike rack that's going to come with a tilt away feature. more

Thule Epos 3 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Honda CR-V- Video
Hi, Matt here with etrailer. And today, we're gonna be talking about the Thule Epos 3-Bike Rack on the back of the 2022 Honda CR-V. This is gonna be a versatile platform bike rack. As you can see here, it's capable of carrying carbon frame bikes. On the back tire, it has a strap instead of being on the frame itself, but this center mast is also capable of sliding over to the frame and being attached anywhere, so it's great for mountain bikes as well. It can also carry about 66 pounds per bike, so that's gonna be great for any of your e-bikes, for anything super heavy. more

Thule Epos 3 Bike Rack Review- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Thule Epos three bike platform rack. This is gonna be a versatile bike rack that has different features so you can carry bikes of different shapes and different sizes but it also has some other features that may look different from other bike racks. We'll take a look at all of those right here at etrailer.com. So the main thing about the Thule Epos is its versatility where you have your mast that can be moved around on your frames or your wheels and you also have different straps and that way you can adjust your bikes back and forth whenever you carry multiple bikes. That's a lot of factors that you have to deal with. So I have four main factors for versatility that we're gonna go through, and that way you can see if this fits your bike and more importantly, your bikes. more
