Firestone Ride-Rite Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2011 Ford F-350

Speaker 1: Today on our 2011 Ford F350, we're going to be taking a look and showing you how to install the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs, part number F2703.Give you an idea of what our truck is before we add our bags on or add weight to it, we want to get measurements of the normal ride height. So we're going to go from the ground to the top inside of the fender on the front and the back. About 36 and a half in the front, about 39 in the back. Now with the addition of the weight, we'll take another measurement. Looks like our back is dropped about an inch and a quarter and our front has come up about a half inch. Now what that's going to do, it's going to cause problems with your suspension, your steering and in turn your tires, put unnecessary wear and tear on your tires. It's going to raise your headlights, so they're not shining down at the road. more

Best 2011 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty Suspension Enhancement Options

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best suspension enhancements for your 2011 Ford F-150, F-250, and F-350. Here we're going to have a leaf spring-style helper spring, followed by our air bag helper springs. Then over here we're going to have a jounce-style helper spring. This is going to be our lower overload helper spring. Then finally on the end, this is going to be our upper overload helper springs. Now each one of our types of suspension enhancements are going to do the same thing. When we're carrying a heavy load or hauling a heavy trailer, they're going to prevent the back end of our truck from sagging, causing more strain on our suspension, as well as lifting up the front end, creating less contact for our tires and not a safe driving condition. more

Today on our 2011 Ford Super Duty well be installing the firestone level command two dual gauge with heavy duty compressor, part number F2219 to an already existing firestone airbag suspension system, part number F2535. To begin our install well first go ahead and take the compressor and find a suitable mounting location. Because theres no room underneath the hood to install a compressor, we will go underneath the vehicle and on the inside of the frame, near the engine compartment is a good mounting location. Using the compressor as a template and our 3/16 drill bit we will go ahead and mark the frame. Once weve marked the frame well take the compressor out of the way and drill out or holes. Then using the hardware provider well go through the compressor attachment point, through the frame and secure it on the inside of the frame with an additional flat washer and nylon lock nut. more
