We'll be using the Hidden Hitch Ball Mount with a 3/4 inch rise or 2-inch drop, part number 80232, which is not included. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the ball mount into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up the pin hole, and install our pin and clip. Now, we'll go over some measurements. We have a ground clearance of about 16 inches. Now, keep in mind that this height's going to vary depending on your hitch height, which is the measurement from the ground to the inside top edge of your receiver tube. We'll go ahead and pull the pin at the top of the mast so we can swing out our dual arms. more

This will engage the anti-rattle device, securing the Thule Helium to our Frontier. Well now go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 20 & inches of ground clearance. Weve added about 19 inches to the overall length of our Frontier. We can now pull the gray lever that at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out. With the cradle arms out, weve added about 29 inches to the overall length of our Frontier. To lower it on the tailgate and have access to the truck bed, we can pull the gray lever at the base of the bike rack and tilt the mast down. more

Thule Apex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today on our 2012 Nissan Rogue we'll be test fitting the Thule Apex Four Bike Carrier, part number th9025. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch allowing the integrated hitch pin to fall into the hitch pin hole and then we'll turn the black knob at the back of the shank to engage the anti-rattle device.Now with our Thule Apex secured to our Nissan Rogue we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 14 inches of ground clearance at the rear. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of our Rogue is here at the rear bumper about a half an inch away.With the cradle arms folded down we've added about eight inches to the overall length of our vehicle. We'll now pull the gray lever at the top the mast to swing the cradle arms out. With the cradle arms out we've added about 33 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. more

Yakima StickUp 2 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Nissan Xterra- Video
Today on our 2013 Nissan Xterra well be test fitting the Yakima Stickup Two Bike Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier, part number y02420.To begin our test fit well slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up the pin hole and thread in our anti-rattle bolt tightening it with a wrench. Now well go over some key measurements. We have about 18 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of our Xterra is about 7 inches. Weve added 15 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. Well go ahead and pull the red knob here at the base of the mass to unfold our carrier. more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Murano we'll be test fitting the Thule Doubletrack Platform-Style Two Bike Carrier, part number th990xt. Now to begin our test fit we'll simply slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. Line up our pin holes, thread our anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes and tighten with a wrench.Now that our Thule Doubletrack is secured to our Nissan Murano we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how they fit together. We have about 11 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about 5-1/2 inches.With the platform folded up we've added about 12 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. We'll now pull the gray lever at the base of the carrier to tilt the platform down. more

We'll line up the pin hole and thread in our anti-rattle bolt and go ahead and tighten it with a wrench.Now we'll go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements. We have a ground clearance of about 14 inches. With the bike rack in the folded position we've added about 19 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and pull the lever at the base of the carrier and allow our bike carrier to tilt.This gives us easy access to our rear hatch in our cargo area. more
