The MonoRail is a two-bike platform style bike rack capable of holding two bikes up to 60 pounds a piece. It's going to make contact primarily with this front wheel mount, this hook on our tire here, and one strap down here at the back tire so there's no frame contact. If you want to get your carbon frame bikes on here, you can. If you have an alternative frame style bike you won't have to worry about that either. more

How's it going It's Ethan here with etrailer. Right now we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman CURRENT hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. It's going to be designed specifically for your e-bike usages so it's gonna be a platform rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 60 pounds a piece. It's going to hold onto our bike primarily with these frame hooks here in the middle as well as one strap on either tire, front and back. So if you do wanna mix and match and use this with your carbon frame bikes we'd recommend against it because it is putting that down force on your frame, could potentially damage it while you're driving. But if you have an alternative frame style they do go all the way up and down the center mass so they should be able to accommodate that pretty well. more

It has a weight capacity of 60 pounds per bike, and it's gonna hold onto our bike primarily with this front wheel mount here and one additional strap down at the bottom. Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chrysler Pacifica- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination four bike rack and how it fits on our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. This is going to be a platform style bike rack a very good entry level way for you to get up to four bikes up to 35 pounds a piece where you need 'em to go. It's gonna hold onto our bike primarily with these rotated padded clamps on our center mast here as well as one strap on the back and one strap on the front. So we do make frame contact although it's not pushing directly down. Still wouldn't recommend using carbon frame bikes just 'cause it does still have that potential to damage frame while you're driving. more

Hey, it Ethan in here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt Premium hitch bike rack, how it fits on our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. It's going to be a four-bike hanging-style bike rack which means it's gonna hold the bike primarily from the top tube here and let the rest of the bike hang down. It's gonna be able to support 180 pounds total, four bikes, it's got this taper at the end which should help you accommodate some kids' bikes, but if you do have a carbon frame bike we wouldn't recommend using something like this just cuz it is primarily held by the frame, could potentially take damage while you're driving. Alternative frame bikes you might have to pick up a bike adapter bar. The taper at the end should help you not need that for kids bikes as much, but still a chance you might have to pick one up kind of how hanging-style racks are. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt Premium hanging-style bike rack, and seeing how it fits on our 2023 Subaru Outback. This hanging style-bike rack holds the bike by the frame, and let the rest of the bike hang down below it. It's got three points of contact, two straps up top, and a third one on the side here, to limit our side-to-side movement and bike-to-bike contact. Now, I will say that this type of strap, the stretchy rubber material, although it is kind of nice for just weather resistance and ease of use, it's not the most secure, and there is still quite a bit of side-to-side movement with the bike. But, you can always add an extra strap after the fact to help cinch things down. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination Four-Bike Platform Rack. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Ford Edge. So the Destination Four is one of my favorite racks when it comes to carrying around a lot of bikes without taking a lot of space and without spending a lot of money because this is gonna be a quick and easy way to get bikes of different shapes and sizes and, from experience, I do know that it works really well with your smaller children's bikes as well. So if you want to upgrade from your hanging rack and you want more stability, I would highly recommend looking at the Destination Four. There are some downsides to this rack though and with the Ford Edge, we're gonna talk about that. The main downside is that you cannot tilt this rack away. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Skaha Plus Bike Rack for four bikes and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. So this is the Skaha 2 Plus with the two bike add on and this allows you to carry up to four bikes with a weight capacity of 180 pounds total for all four bikes. So with that in mind, yes, it creates a nice solid platform for multiple bikes, but it also adds a lot of space. It does require a little bit of work to put those bikes on and off as well as the bike rack. So we are gonna talk about that focusing on our trailblazer here. Now the first thing to think about is gonna be your clearance because the recommended ground clearance for this bike rack is at least 14 inches. more

So this is gonna be a platform-style bike rack, great for carrying a wide variety of bikes. And you can see with the one we have loaded up here, it's gonna hold them in these trays and by the wheels. This is a dual-wheel mount design, which means we've got a wheel hoop on either side, holding this in place with the ratcheting arms, making for a zero-frame contact. more

So the Swagman Current is pretty popular, because of its weight capacity as well as how you can carry your heavier bikes with this while still maintaining a simple design. Depending on which Current you get you can also upgrade the older versions to the newer cradles if you want to use the add-on ramp and bridge that Swagman offers if you have heavy electric bikes. Fortunately for the Trailblazer though, because of where the hitch is, you might not need that ramp and bridge. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination E, two bike platform rack for your heavy electric bikes. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The Destination E is really designed for those electric bikes. It have an included ramp, which makes it easier to ramp the bikes up and onto your hitch receiver. Now with the Trailblazer, since the hitch receiver isn't that high up off the ground, that actually makes it easier for the ramp, since you have a shallower angle, just make sure if you have that two-inch hitch receiver to support that extra weight, since you have a weight capacity of 70 pounds per bike. Now, one feature that is pretty unique as well to this rack is the Tilt-Away feature. more

RockyMounts AfterParty Swing Away 2 Bike Rack Review - 2017 Toyota RAV4- Video
Hi everybody, Cooper here from etrailer and today we are going to be looking at our RockyMounts AfterParty on our 2017 Toyota RAV4. The AfterParty is a platform style bike rack that's gonna be able to hold up to two bikes and then those bikes are going to be weighted for 60 pounds each. The way that the AfterParty holds the bike is actually in a frameless contact way where it is ratcheting arms on either side of the bike, so that way it is held perfectly within place. One of the big advantages of the AfterParty is it's feature to go ahead and tilt away from the car allowing us a lot more access to our back end compared to some of the other bike racks that don't. So with something like this, I'm a lot more comfortable sitting down, maybe actually having the room and availability to tie my shoes because it is swung back away, you know, before or after loading, hitting the trails. And in order to lift it back up we actually don't have to pull on the handle. more

Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack Review - 2018 Audi A4- Video
Hello neighbors it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Kuat Transfer Bike Rack. Now this is a platform style two bike rack available an inch and a quarter. Also able to be adapted to two inches which is gonna be great on our 2018 Audi A4. Now our Audi today has a stealth hitch installed and that's gonna be a two inch receiver, but some of the other hitches that we offer are gonna be inch and a quarter and that's where this is a really nice option. My personal vehicle has an inch and a quarter and this is a bike rack that I've used on my own personal vehicle, but also you can put the adapter on and be ready for a two inch. So if you have a smaller vehicle or you just need a bike rack that you can transfer from car to car, this is gonna be a great option. more

Hi, everyone, Aiden here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Toyota RAV4. Now, this is going to be a platform-style bike rack, and this one is going to be a really nice one. It's really easy to use, it works with a pretty wide range of bikes, not as many as some others, but a pretty good range. And it's going to have some unique things like color options, you don't get that with every bike rack around, so if you wanna get this matched to your vehicle and have it look really nice on the back, you can do that. We've got the gray version on display right now, you can also get it in a black color or a pearl color, which is a more white material. more

Hi, everyone, Aiden here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail Platform-Style Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Toyota RAV4. Now, it's going to be a more high end platform-style bike rack, very easy to operate and works with a wide range bikes. This particular one is gonna be a dual wheel mount style, which means we're holding the bike by the tires on both sides using these integrated wheel hoops. Now, for this type of style, it's not gonna make any frame contact, making this a good option for carbon frame bikes, alternative frame bikes, and with a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, good for some of our e-bikes too. Like many other platform racks, you do have the ability to tilt this away with the bikes loaded. more
