Hey guys, how's it going Clayton here at etrailer.com. Today, I have a 2016 Chevy Malibu. We'll be taking a look at and I'll show you how to install a Curt class two hitch. Here with our hitch installed. You can pretty much only see the receiver tube opening, but there is a little bit of that cross tube visible from the rear of the vehicle. It still looks great under our vehicle and it doesn't stick out. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Malibu we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the draw tight inch and a quarter trailer hitch receiver.Now this hitch is going to be great for a Malibu because now we're going to be able to use it for accessories, things like bike racks or even cargo carriers. It's also going to allow us to do some light duty towing.Now what's cool about this hitch is that you're going to be able to carry any extra cargo on the back of the vehicle instead of on the inside. That will free up a lot of space. So say if you're taking your family on vacation, you're going to be able to carry everything on the back and still get to your destination with your fuel efficient Malibu.Now since we can carry a bike rack, you're not going to have to hitch a ride with your friends anymore. Now they can ride with you.Now this is a Class II hitch. more

Best 2016 Chevrolet Malibu Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2016 Chevy Malibu. So on top we're going to have the Draw-Tite and right below that we're going to have the Curt. Now both of these are going to be Class 2 hitches which means they're going to give up that 1 1/4" by 1 1/4" receiver tube opening. Now these are going to be great for any kind of bike racks or cargo carriers or some light-duty towing.Now obviously looking at them we can tell that there's a big difference between our two hitches. And the main difference is how they're going to mount. Our Draw-Tite hitch is going to be hidden behind the bumper and all we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Malibu C12152- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevy Malibu, we're going to taking a look at, and installing the Curt Class II custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number C12152. Here's what our hitch looks like fully installed. It's going to sit right below the bumper. And you are going to have that visible cross bar just right under the bumper there. Now, this is a Class II hitch, which means it's going to give you that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. And as you can see, it has a nice, clean reinforced collar giving it that nice look. Our hitch is going to be using a half inch standard pin and clip. more
