Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Today on our 2013 Toyota Tacoma we'll be having a look at and installing the Tekonsha T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with Four Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118496. Here's what our wiring looks like installed. This wiring will give us the basic lighting functions that we need as required by law in order to safely tow a trailer. We'll have our taillight and running light signal off the brown wire, our left turn signal and left brake light off the yellow wire, and our right turn signal and right brake light off the green wire. White wire here is our ground. When it comes to power output of our wiring harness, for our stop and our turn signal circuits, this circuit has 2.1 amps total power output per side. Now, for our taillight and running light circuit, we have a total power output of 7.5 amps. more

Best 2013 Toyota Tacoma Trailer Wiring Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best wiring options for your 2013 Toyota Tacoma. First, we've got the CURT T-connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number C55513. We've also got the Tekonsha T-1 vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 118496. CURT also has a wiring harness available with the 5-pole flat trailer connector, which is going to be good if you've got a trailer with surge breaks and you need that reverse light circuit. That one's going to be part number C56513. The biggest difference that we're going to see between these two wiring harnesses is the amperage ratings on the circuits. On the CURT, it has a 3 amp rating on the turn and brake light circuits, and a 5 amp rating on the taillight circuit. more
