Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Jeep Cherokee we're gonna take a look at and also show you how to install the Curt Custom Fit Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, offering the two-inch by two-inch receiver tube opening. It's part number is C13171.Now here's what our hitch is gonna look like installed. As you can see, we have a visible cross tube, it's gonna go pretty much across the rear of the Jeep, meets here in the middle at our two-inch by two-inch receiver tube opening.Now, as far as the look's concerned, if you don't like the appearance of a hitch that stretches all the way across we do have other options. They're a little bit more difficult to install, though, so it's kind of a give and take. This one's easier to put on.The brackets we have here on the side go down and around our exhaust, so there's no need to lower the exhaust, and there's no need to trim our inaudible 00:00:51 panel. That can sometimes get kind of intimidating, people don't like to do it, so this gives us a good alternative so we can get a hitch on our vehicle, utilize the two-inch by two-inch receiver tube opening, and not have to make any vehicle modifications.Now, this is a Class III hitch, that means it's gonna make it very, very versatile. more

The nice thing about it is it's going to be pretty well hidden. All we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out the bottom. The cross tube is going to be concealed by the rear fascia here, so we're not going to have to worry about it sticking down really far or distracting from the looks of our Jeep.It's going to offer us a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening so it's going to have a lot of different accessories available, all the way from our ball mount, our bike rack, our cargo carrier, and many other options. It's part number is 75054.Now, this is sort of what your hitch is going to look like once you get it installed on your Cherokee. Of course, we've got a custom-made, just a tube bumper here. In standard situations your step will come out about here, and then as that bumper rolls down, it kind of comes in just above the tube on the hitch. So some of this is kind of going to be tucked down behind or up behind the fascia there.You can see we've got the rounded collar around the receiver tube opening there to kind of give it a clean look. On the square tube style hitches, those are going to fit in behind the bumper, so that cross tube's going to be a little bit more hidden, and your receiver be a little bit higher. Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Draw-Tite Max Frame Custom Fit Class III trailer hitch receiver, offering the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, it's part number is 76104.Now this is what our hitch is going to look like installed. As you can see the receiver tube opening comes out past the end of the bumper slightly. This is really going to be a benefit when it comes to accessories in your hitch and getting them past the spare tire. Other hitch designs for this model have it tucked in a little but further, which has its advantages for off road purposes and things like that, but if you're hauling bike racks, cargo carriers, the Class III design's going to work out really well, there's a lot of options available and they should be out past the edge of that tire if you have a stock tire.Now to secure all of those items in place, you'll always want to use the larger pinhole that's located closer to the front of the vehicle, it's 5/8ths of an inch in diameter. You can see there's plenty of room there, so regardless of what type of accessory you want to secure your items with, locking hitch pins, anti-rattle bolts, hitch immobilizers, really any of those are going to work out well. The smaller pinhole located a little bit closer to the rear of the vehicle, that's for use only with the J pin stabilization system, which is another form of anti-rattle device.Now, you'll see the plate style safety chain connection points here, those are going to be nice, large and open. more

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna be taking a look at the best hitches available for the Jeep Cherokee. Now believe it or not the frames change so little over the course of the Cherokees life that these three hitches fit everything from 1984 to 2001.Now the three hitches we're gonna be looking at today are all Class 3 hitches. That means they're gonna have the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. The most popular of the three hitches we're looking at is part number 13084, that ones from Curt. We're gonna follow that up with Draw Tite, part number 75054 and finally, another Curt, this one having a round tube, drops down a little bit more below the bumper. Speaker 1: Today, in this 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number C13182.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. The frame of our hitch sits nice and tight against our fascia, but yet still has plenty of clearance around our receiver opening making this an ideal hitch to use with bike racks and cargo carriers. On the side of our receiver, you'll find our industry standard 5/8 of an inch diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch mount and accessories. You can pick up a pin and clip on our website as part number PC3.Welded onto the bottom of our receiver and the frame of the hitch is our plate style safety chain loops where we can attach the safety chains from our trailer. These have a decent sized opening, so we shouldn't have much problem at all hooking on those safety chains.Welded on the back of our receiver, we have this nice collar here, which gives us a nice finished look and helps improve the strength of the opening of the receiver, giving a little bit more durability.This hitch features a 600 pound max tongue weight rating, which is the amount forcing down and a 6000 pound max gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount it can pull. It does support the use of weight distribution and when you're using that with your trailer, your tongue weight rating increases to 750 pounds and your max gross trailer weight rating increases to 7500 pounds. more

Now what's great about this hitch is that it's completely hidden behind our rear fascia. The only part you'll see sticking out is the class two inch and a quarter receiver itself. Now because this is a class two hitch even though it is an inch and quarter hitch we do have the ability to use cargo carriers with it. A class one inch and a quarter hitch you wouldn't have the ability to use many cargo carries with it because they aren't rated for the weight.On the side of our hitch you'll find our industry standard half inch diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch mounted accessories. Now what's great about this hitch is that it's tucked up nice and tight against our bumper to give this optimal ground clearance. This here is the factory Jeep hitch that came off of this vehicle. A lot of people find that the factory hitch is not a good hitch to use with bike racks and cargo carriers, especially folding bike racks which store upright against the spare tire. You don't have the necessary clearance that you need. That's one reason this hitch is popular for people with bike racks because they can even replace their factory hitch with it. more

This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. You can see our cross tube angles back towards the receiver tube, which in turn is going to push the receiver tube out just a little bit, to give you more space between your bumper and any of your hitch-mounted accessories. It's going to be a Class III, 2" by 2", with a 5/8" hitch pin hole. We're going to have a plate-style safety chain loop. It's going to give you a little bit more stability when hooking up your chains. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2010 Jeep Patriot we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Max Frame Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver, Part #75712. Now that our hitch is installed, you can see that our cross tube is tucked in back behind our bumper. There's no cutting or drilling required. 2" x 2" Class 3 receiver. It's gonna have a 5/8" hitch pin hole and then this smaller hole here is gonna be for a J-pin stabilization device only. As you can see, it has loop style safety chain rings so you have quite a bit of room to hook your safety chains on, on the front or the back. more

Now that we have our hitch installed, as you can see, the cross tube is hidden behind the bumper. The only thing you can see is your receiver tube. It's going to be 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch receiver tube hole, and a 1/2 inch size hitch pin hole. Nice loop style design for your safety chains. It's going to give you plenty of room to hook on the front, or the back. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk we're gonna take a look at, and show you how to install, the Draw-Tite Max Frame Class III Custom Trailer Hitch Receiver, offering the 2" x 2" receiver tube opening, as part number: 76021.Here's what your hitch is gonna look like installed. As you can see, it's gonna be pretty visible in the rear of the vehicle. We'll have that cross tube that's gonna go all the way across the rear, and then up to where it connects with the frame. In the middle we're gonna have our receiver tube opening. This is a Class III hitch, so it'll have a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening; makes it extremely versatile. I think on the Renegade, probably your bike racks, cargo carriers, accessories like that are what you're gonna see the most of, and just about all of those are gonna come in a Class III variety. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class Two Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 36424.So here's what our hitch looks like fully installed. Now, it is gonna stick out just right below our bumper, and it's not gonna be beyond the spare tire, but it is gonna stick out quite a ways, which is actually gonna be a good thing because we're not gonna have to have such an extended shank on any of our accessories. So that bike rack or cargo carrier is gonna be a lot easier to get in, and not have to worry about the spare tire interfering.Now it is a Class Two hitch, which means it's gonna give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. It does have that nice reinforced collar, giving it an overall finished look and a little bit more added strength.The way we're gonna mount any of our accessories is gonna be through the hitch pin hole here in the side. It's gonna accept a standard half inch pin and clip. They're not included, but you can pick some up on our website using part number PC2.For the safety chain connection point, it's gonna be a loop-style, welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. more
