Today on our 2006 Subaru Outback Wagon, we'll be test fitting the Soft Ride Element Parallelogram tilting 4 bike rack for 1 1/4 and 2 inch hitches part number SR26248. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up our pin hole and thread in our anti rattle bolt tightening it with a wrench. Now we'll go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 11 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the bike rack to the rear of the vehicle is about a 1/4 of an inch and we've added about 9 inches to the overall length of our Subaru. We'll pull the lever on the side of our bike rack towards the top. more

Thule Doubletrack Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Subaru Forester

Today on this 2011 Subaru Forester, were going to do a test fit of part number th990xt from Thule, the Thule Doubletrack Platform bike carrier. This bike carrier will work on 1-1/4 receiver hitches, class one and class two, and will also work on a 2 receiver as shown here with the included bushing. We will start off by putting the bike rack into the hitch. Well tighten it down with the anti-rattle bolt, and then put the lock on the other side. Now the bike rack does come with tool to help tighten down the bolt, however wrench will work just as well. Today on this 2011 Subaru Forester were a30901 from SportRack. This is the two bike easy hitch mounted bike rack. One quick note is that this bicycle rack will work with inch and a quarter receiver hitches, class one and class two. We will be using it on a class three receiver hitch with the included spacer. We will start off by installing the bike rack into the hitch, we will tighten down the anti rattle bolt, and then put the safety pin on the other side. And we will be using a inch wrench to tighten everything down. more

install-rhodegear-highway-2011-subaru-foresteer-rg8015220 Alright today on this 2011 Subaru Forester, were going to do a test fit of part number rg8015220 from Rhode Gear, this is our highway 2 bike carrier. One quick note is that this bike carrier will fit 1-1/4 receiver hitches class one and class two. It will also work as we have here with 2 with the included spacer. Well go ahead and install the bicycle rack into the hitch; we will tighten down the anti-rattle bolt, and put the safety pin on the side. We will also use a wrench to tighten down the bolt. Alright, today on this 2011 Subaru Legacy we are going to demonstrate the SportRack EZ hitch mounted platform style bike rack, part number A30901. Alright, the hitch on this vehicle is a 2 inch receiver hitch so we will be using the adapter bushing right here. This is our anti-rattle bolts that we are removing. We will go ahead and slide it into the hitch. Line it up with the hitch pin hole and reinstall the bolt. OK, we will tighten down the bolt and install the safety pin. 0:44 more
