Saris SuperClamp EX 2 Bike Rack Review - 2020 Toyota RAV4- Video
How's it going everyone It's Ethan with etrailer here and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Saris SuperClamp EX on our 2020 Toyota RAV4. The Saris SuperClamp EX is a two bike platform style bike rack that holds onto our bikes primarily through these hooks here. The tire hooks on either side and two extra straps on the bottom. I really like the hooks themselves because they allow you for a wider range of bikes. They hold onto the tires themselves and not the frames which is really nice for alternative style bikes and if you want to avoid carbon fiber bike damage. The rack itself is capable of supporting up to 60 pounds per bike. more

Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack Review - 2020 Toyota RAV4- Video
How's it going, everyone Ethan from etrailer here, and today, we're gonna be taking a look at our Kuat Transfer on our 2020 Toyota RAV 4. The Transfer is a two-bike platform rack, capable of supporting up to 40 pounds per bike, primarily held here by our wheel hooks and one other strap in the back. I like the wheel hooks themselves, as they avoid any sort of frame contact. For example, with our carbon frame bike here, it's just nice to know that there's not gonna be any damages with that, as you're bumping along on the road. And in general, I think it's a pretty solid hold. Another great feature of the Transfer here, if you lift this hook away, you can use your foot actually to access this pedal. more

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 2 Electric Bike Platform Rack Review - 2020 Toyota RAV4- Video
How's it going, everyone It's Ethan from etrailer here today. I'm taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE. The Sport Rider SE is a two-bike platform bike rack, capable of supporting bikes up to 80 pounds each, held primarily by these frame hooks, and a couple of straps on either wheel. The frame hooks do hold the bike, like I mentioned, primarily by the frame itself. So if that's something that's important to you or if you have a carbon frame bike, you're probably gonna wanna avoid this type of rack, just 'cause it could potentially damage the frame while you're driving. In order to tilt this bike, you do actually have to remove this pin. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Hollywood Rack Sport Rider SE two bike platform style bike rack for electric bikes. But that's not to say that it's not gonna work with normal bikes and today it's gonna be on a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. It's no surprise that e-bikes have definitely become more and more popular and as the years kind of go on I can only imagine it's gonna become even bigger. So one of the downsides with e-bikes at least currently now, is they are pretty heavy. So you do need a bike rack that's going to accompany that weight. And this one is actually pretty highly rated at 80 pounds per bike. more

Thule Helium Platform XT Bike Rack Review - 2014 Toyota Prius v- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline, right here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at how the Thule Helium XT fits on the 2014 Toyota Prius V. So for your Toyota Prius V, you do have different options for hitch receivers. I currently have the two inch hitch on there, but I do see a lot of people with the inch and a quarter hitch receiver option. When you have that smaller receiver size, your options are limited for bike racks, especially the more premium ones. So this is a great option, because you have that inch and a quarter shank, the included two inch adapter, and you still have that dual wheel mount design and premium features, like locks and a slightly higher weight capacity. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Toyota RAV4 Y87VR- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo on our 2020 Toyota Rav4. The StageTwo is a platform style bike rack that holds the bike in these trays and by our front tire using the wheel hook. That's gonna make so it has zero frame contact on the actual bike, making it good for carbon frame bikes like you see here, alternative frame bikes and even some e-bikes with that 70 pound weight capacity per bike, giving that a little bit of an edge above the standard 60 pounds you might see on other e-bike compatible bike racks. This does have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Toyota RAV4- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman XTC2 Tilt on our 2020 Toyota RAV4. The XTC is a platform style bike rack. It holds a bike in these wheel hoops and primarily by our frame up here using our frame hook. Now because it uses a frame hook, we do wanna be cautious of carbon frame bikes and probably avoid using those, because frame contact can damage it. And then with alternative frame bikes, you don't have a good solid attachment point up top, so you probably are gonna need a bike adapter bar to make sure that you're getting solid contact with the bike. more

Swagman Current 2 Electric Bikes Rack Review - 2020 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
How's it going everyone Ethan with etrailer here, today to show you the Swagman Current two platform bike rack on our 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. So the first thing we wanna highlight about this rack is the weight capacity. It's able to support up to two bikes of 60 pounds each, so around 120 total. One of the benefits of this bike rack is that whether you're using the inch and a quarter or two-inch receiver tubes you'll still be able to support the full weight. So getting into how this frame actually holds onto our bikes here, as you can see, they have these padded hooks that support the bikes via the frame. So maybe not your best choice if you're using a carbon frame or an alternative style frame, just 'cause it might not hold onto the frame the way you want it to. more

Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack Review - 2022 Toyota Venza- Video
Hi there everyone. Today we're taking a look at the Hollywood Destination e-bike rack on our 2022 Toyota Venza. This is gonna be a great choice if you've got some heavier bikes or you have an e-bike that you want to get to the trail and you want to also be able to tilt it away and have all the premium features without having to spend an arm and a leg. Let's take a closer look. Now with a 70 pound weight capacity and a 50 inch wheel base this is going to be able to hold most types of bikes that you may have whether that be your bigger mountain bikes or if you happen to have an e-bike, which the name comes from it's going to be able to take that and which is really nice. I will say though, it is being held by the frame right here and then it's also being held at three different points on the wheels. more

What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the Swagman XC2 on a 2022 Toyota Highlander. It's gonna be a platform style bike rack, that means it's gonna hold the bike by the frame, so it does have this hook that comes down along the frame. Makes contact there, but it is padded, so you don't have to worry about it damaging the frame at all, I still wouldn't recommend putting carbon fiber bikes on there, but all the other bikes should be just fine. Let's take a second to look at how it sits on the back of the vehicle. It doesn't look like it's gonna cover up the taillights too bad, the tires cover up a small portion, you can still see it above there. more

AJ What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be checking out the Kuat NV 2.0 on our 2022 Toyota Highlander. So we have a platform style bike rack which means the bike's gonna sit on this platform. It holds it by the tire up front and there's a strap on the back tire helping hold the bike steady and in place, which since it doesn't make any frame contact, really opens it up for all the different style bikes it can actually hold. So you don't have to worry about putting a carbon fiber bike on here because it's not going to make contact, so no damage done. One of the nice features is that you can tilt away the bike rack with the bike on there. more

CURT Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Ford Ranger- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the CURT Premium on our 2019 Ford Ranger. A CURT Premium is a hanging style bike rack. It holds the bike by the frame up here and lets it hang down holding it in place with these two straps over top that keep it held in the cradles. There's a third strap around the seat post to help with our side to side movement limiting our bike to bike contact or, in some cases like this where the bike is actually quite close to the vehicle hopefully limiting that bike to vehicle contact as well. more

It's gonna be a platform style bike rack right away you notice that it's got something that other bike racks don't and that's the lights that here. So it's right there in tune with the lights on the back of your vehicle so you don't have to worry about anybody not seeing the brake lights if you have it pulled it over with two bikes. So the plugs right into the four pole on your vehicle on the Explorer it's there. So they work really nice. I think they look cool, but other than that, platform style rack, which means it's gonna sit the bike's gonna sit on the platform. more

The OnRamp's gonna be a platform style bike rack that holds the bike by the frame here, but it's specifically built for the heavier bikes, so it can handle a 66 pound bike per tray, and that's gonna be e-bike focused. So you can see it handles it just fine because there's gonna be more vibration, more weight here, on the bike rack, so it's specially built for that. It even comes with a ramp to help you load up the e-bike, 'cause those can get kind of heavy too. more

Today we're taking a look at the Saris Door County Bike Rack right here on our 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. Well, the Door County is very unique in how it's designed because I like to call it the elevator bike rack. It is powered by a seven way connection, so fortunately, the Chevrolet Tahoe has that connection. Most vehicles may or may not have it, so just double check that for yours. Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro on our 2022 Toyota Tacoma. Now the Hitching Post is a hanging style bike rack. It's gonna hold up to four bikes each up to 35 pounds. Because it's hanging style we do wanna avoid carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes and kids bikes will probably need a bike adapter bar to ensure that the bike hangs level or that it even fits at all over those dual arms. more

John here and today we're taking a look at the Saris Door County on our 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Now this is going to be a great choice if you have two electric bikes that you're wanting to take out on the trail with your Jeep Gladiator and still being able to not have to worry about how heavy electric bikes get. One big thing that I wanna show off right off the bat is how it's able to handle working with heavier bikes and taking them off. Now as you can see, it has a mechanism here that is actually used with your wiring. It is going to be plugging in right into the back of your Jeep Gladiator. Now it is a slow process, but whenever you have heavy bikes, like say up to 60 pounds, you're gonna want that. more
