Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Ford Taurus- Video
Today, on our 2010 Ford Taurus, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver, Part #C12296. Here's what this hitch is going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, it's got the inch-and-a-quarter by inch-and-a-quarter receiver tube opening with a nice welded-on reinforcement collar around it to give it a nice, sturdy, durable look. It's got the rolled steel safety chain loops here underneath that are going to make it nice and easy for connecting just about any type of safety chain that you may have. This hitch tucks up very nicely to the underside of the fascia, so all that you're going to see is the receiver tube opening and safety chain connection points. The crosstube is going to be up behind the fascia so that it's nice and hidden. This hitch is going to work great for any inch-and-a-quarter accessories that you may have. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Ford Taurus - Curt- Video
Today we're going to install the CURT trailer hitch on our 2010 Ford Taurus, part number 13552. As you will see, this hitch is designed for either a single exhaust or a dual exhaust vehicle. We will give you some measurements to help you choose some accessories for your hitch. From the center pin to the edge of the bumper is approximately 5-3/4", and from the top of the hitch opening to the ground is approximately 12-3/4". This vehicle has only one exhaust so we will only use the one side. Let's first begin by putting some lube on the exhaust hangers and removing the first three from the rear so we can get the exhaust out of the way. Next we will need to remove the two bolts that hold the rear exhaust hanger; this will not be reused. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Ford Taurus 75670- Video
Today on this 2010 Ford Taurus we will be installing Hidden Hitch part number 87565 and this installation will also apply for Draw-Tite part number 75670. The first thing we want to do in preparation to installing our trailer hitch is to lower the exhaust down off the driver side frame rail. We have got two hangers that we want to remove to help lower the exhaust out of the way. The first one being at the rear of the vehicle nearest the bumper and then if we follow forward almost even with the axle there is a second one. To ease in the removal of these rubber hangers we are going to spray the studs down with a spray lubricant like a WD-40. Then we can take either a pry bar or a set of pliers and separate the two pieces. 00:40 more
