Today on our 2015 Ford Escape we are test fitting the Swagman trail head 4 bike rack, part number S63380. As you can see we do already have our bike on there, we're going to show you how we load up the bike and how it's secured and then also how we connect our Swagman to the vehicle and a little, a couple of the features about it. As you can see here we do have four straps, that's tied on the bike. Three on the frame and then one back here on the seat post. I'm just going to pull those out and release and to reconnect you're just going fit them back into those holes there. Just go ahead and release all these straps. There we are. more

Today, on our 2015 Ford Escape, we're test fitting this Sport Rack 3 bike carrier, part number SR2403. Now, as you can see, we do already have our bike strapped in on the rack. I'm just going to show you how we strap in our bike, nd then also some of the features of the rack itself. We have got 3 straps holding the bike down. The back one here is on the seat post, it's going to be the anti-sway strap and cradle here. That's going to keep your bike from swinging back and forth when you're driving down the road. These 2 straps here are just on the frame, just to hold it in place there. more

This bike rack is going to come with a 2-inch shank to connect to our 2-inch receiver. It's going to connect using an anti-rattle bolt to help reduce the sway, rattle and wobble on the backside. Today on our 2015 Ford Escape, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex hanging style 4 bike rack, part number TH9029XT. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and in place on the back of your vehicle. This bike rack is going to come with 1 1/4" shank as well as a 2" adapter, so you can use it with your class 1,2, and 3 receivers. The thing I do need to stress to you is that if you do intend on using it with your class 1 1 1/4" receiver, is that you'll only be able to carry up to 2 bikes and you're going to need to know the weight of those bikes per your hitch's weight specifications. Let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance is going to be down here on the bottom side to the backside of the bumper. About 2 3/4". more

It does have an incorporated cable lock, that's something that they've recently added, that's designed to go over the frames of your bike and keep them secured to the rack. It uses a Thule One Key Tumbler System, so if you've already got some you can replace it with a matching key. If not you can start your step with whichever number shows up. Now do keep in mind that this rack does come with your inch and a quarter shank, but it's only advisable that if you carry it with your one class one hitch that you're only carrying two bikes. You can put two bikes on your class two receivers, and then it also comes with that two inch adapter for your class three hitches. Let's start off by getting a few measurements first. Our closest distance will be first, and from the front here to the back side of the bumper it'll be about 5 3/4 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle from the rear of the bumper to the back of the cradle arms, be about 37 1/2 inches. more

Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle with the bike rack in place from the back of the bumper to the back of the cradles is going to be about 24 inches with the rear ground clearance being about 24 and three-quarter inches. It also is going to attach to any of our receivers using an anti-rattle bolt that you can see down there on the bottom. That's going to help to alleviate a lot of the sway, rattle, and wobble that you would normally have and act more as one item rather than the bike rack just being a standalone item on its own. It's going to be part number SA404B. Let's go ahead and talk about the inch and a quarter shank that's going to attach to our inch and a quarter receiver. Note that this bike rack does also come with your two-inch adapter for your class three receiver as well, but this inch and a quarter will work with your class one and two. Just keep in mind that with your class one, you're only going to be able to carry up to two bikes, just for the weight restrictions on the receiver. Let's get a few measurements out of the way, starting off with our closest distance first, which would be from that back side of the bumper to the front side of the rack here, at about five and a half inches. Our overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle will be about thirty inches, and our rear ground clearance at about eight and a half inches. more

Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle from the rear of the bumper to the rear of the cradle arms is going to be about 39". Our ground clearance will be about the 18". Today on our 2015 Ford Expedition, we're gonna be doing a test fit of the Dooley Vertex Hanging Style for bike rack. This is gonna be for your inch and a quarter as well as your two inch receivers. Just keep in mind that if you have a class one, you're only going to be able to carry up to two bikes. Now you can see we have our bike on here and in place, so that you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully installed on your vehicle. It's gonna be part number TH9029XT, and we'll start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be first, and that's gonna be from the bumper to the front of this flange that hangs off the front side of your rack. And that's gonna be about 4 and 7/8ths inches. Excuse me, about 4 and 3/8ths inches. Overall this inset we've added to this vehicle, from the rear of the bumper to the back of the cradle arms will be about 37 and 3/4 inches with the ground clearance of about 18 and 1/4 inches. Up top we'll talk about the straps that secure the bike to the platform and cradle arms. You're gonna have your two across the top which are gonna be your frame straps and they're gonna keep your bike secured to the platform and keep them from bouncing up and down while you're driving up and down the road. The most important one is gonna be your anti-sway strap. more

Today, on our 2015 Ford Expedition, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Sports Rack Ridge Swing. This is going to be your hanging style four bike rack, part number SR2415. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here in place so you can see what it would look like once it's installed and your bike is in place. First thing we're going to do is move down to the front and get a few measurements starting off with our closest distance first. That'll be from this T handle on the front to the backside of the bumper at about five and three quarter inches. Our overall distance that we've added to the vehicle will be to the rear of the cradle arms here. more

Today on our 2015 Ford Expedition we are going to be doing a test fit of the Sport Rack 3 Hanging Style Three Bike Rack, part #SR2403. As you can see we've already got it up here in place with a bike on it so you can see what it would look like once you have it fully installed and your bike in place. Down here on the bottom side we are going to get our measurements first. Our closest distance will be the first one and that's going to be from the bumper and receiver to this front bracket here at a distance of about 2-1/8". Our overall distance to the back of the cradle arms will be about 28-1/2". Our ground clearance from the bottom side looks to be about 17-3/4". Up top we'll talk about the straps and secure the bike to our cradle arms. The top ones, here and here, are going to help to keep the bike in place and keep it from bouncing up and down. The most important one is going to be that anti-sway strap and it'll be the first and last strap that you take off. more

Today on our 2015 Ford Expedition we're going to be doing a test fit on the Curt Premium 4 Hanging Style 4 Bike Rack, part number C18064. As you can see we've already got our bike up here and in place so you can see what it would look like once you have it fully assembled with your bike of your own in the same spot. Looking down below we'll get a few measurements to start it off. Our closest distance will be first. From the front of the T-handle and thumb screw, here to the back side of the bumper. That distance is going to be about 6-1/2". Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle at this point will be from the bumper to the rear of the cradle arm at about 35-1/2" with a rear ground clearance of about 17-1/2". Moving up top we'll talk about the straps. more

Kevin Bross: Today on our 2015 Ford Expedition, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Saris Bike Porter, hanging style four bike rack. Part number SA404B. As you can see up here on the top of our rack we already have our bike in place, so you can see what it would look like once you have it fully assembled with your bike on it as well. Down below, we'll get our measurements for our closest distance. The closest distance is going to be from the rear of the receiver to the front of the bracket here, at about seven inches. The overall distance that we've added from the rear of the bumper to the back of the rack here, is going to be about 36 inches, with a ground clearance of about 18 inches. Now up top, we're going to have our straps that secure our bike, and you're going to have a lower hanging one and one that sits up above. The one that sits up above, is going to be your frame strap and it's going to keep the bike from bouncing up and down while you're driving up and down the road. more

As you can see, we already have the bike up here on the rack and installed on the vehicle so you can see how it looks and fits. Our first thing we're going to do is get a few measurements, starting with our closest distance first, which in this case is going to be from the front of the bike rack to the bumper of the vehicle. That's going to be about 6-3/4". Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle is going to be about 48-1/2" to the very back back here. more

This bike carrier only comes with a 2" shank for your 2" hitches only. As you can see, we've already got it up here on our rack and on our vehicle so you can see how it looks and fits. First thing we're going to do is get a couple measurements, first measurement being our closest distance, which is going to be from the front of the t-handle there to the back of the bumper at about 5". Our overall distance with it fully extended and the bike on is going to be about 34-1/2", with a rear ground clearance of about 13". more

It comes with an 1 1/4 shank for your class 1 and 2 hitches as well as an adapter for your class 3 hitches. It's going to be part number SA404B and we're going to go ahead and get it fitted onto our vehicle that we have here today. First insert your shank into your receiver and line up your pin holes. Once you have your pin holes lined up, take your anti rattle bolt, place it in and thread it in as far as you can by hand. more

First step is going to be to insert your shank into the receiver and line up your pinholes. From there, we'll take off the lock on the end of the anti-rattle bolt, and thread it in. more

It does come with a 2" shank for your 2" hitches and it's going to be part number SA4414B. We're going to go ahead and fit it into our Class 5 hitch that we've got here today. We have a 2" adapter, an insert on the inside. We're just going to use a hitch pin and clip to hold the plate so it doesn't slide in and out. more
