Today we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat Piston Pro four bike rack on our 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Now if you have a Jeep Gladiator, you most likely have a lot of your equipment and a lot of your stuff in the back of your bed. Or you may have a Tonneau cover like this. So it's gonna be a little bit tougher to get your bikes in the back of your bed whenever you're doing things like maybe you're going hiking as well or you need all of your stuff in the back. So this is a great choice. Whenever you have a 40 pound weight capacity and the ability to carry four bikes along with it being able to use the wiring that comes with your Jeep Gladiator, it is going to be a great choice. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Chevrolet Colorado- Video

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo on our 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. Now, StageTwo is a platform style bike rack, and a really rugged one at that, it's gonna be really well built in heavy-duty. With this, we're holding the bike by our front tire, and it's not making any frame contact, so it's gonna be good for our carbon and alternative frame bikes, and it also has a 70 pound weight capacity per bike, which makes it good for some of our heavier e-bikes too. With this, you do have the ability to tilt it away with bikes loaded. Now, just come to the end of the handle here, squeeze it with both hands as you're applying a little bit of upward pressure, and then it will release, and that'll give us access to the bed of our truck with a full opening tailgate. more

Now the Freedom's gonna be a platform style bike rack holding the bike in these cradles, and by our frame it's gonna be a pretty entry level platform style rack but it does have some nice features that I really like compared to some other entry level options. The big thing of that being it's weight capacity it has a 60 pound capacity per bike which for an entry level rack is really uncommon. So if you need a way to carry e-bikes this is gonna be a nice way to do it at an affordable price point. more

It's gonna hold them by the frame here with two zip strips up top to keep it held down along with a third on the seat post to limit our side to side movement, which will help with bike to bike contact. Now, with this, you also have a 150 pound weight capacity, now, it's total, so make sure you're not overloading the bike rack. Now, because it makes frame contact, we do wanna avoid carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes or kids' bikes, we probably wanna pick up a bike adapter bar for those alternative frames to make sure the bike hangs level, and for the kids' bikes, it's to make sure that they can fit over this dual arm design, because it's typically not too friendly with those smaller frames. more

etrailer Tilting 4 Bike Rack Review - 2020 Kia Telluride- Video

Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Kia Telluride, we're gonna be checking out the etrailer.com hitch-mounted bike rack. First impressions, its a pretty solid bike rack, and really simple and straightforward, and this one can hold up to four bikes, so it's gonna be a good, easy way to get a lot of bikes to and from the trails. I do like where it holds your bikes in relation to the back of the Kia's window, it's almost in line with it, so it's not gonna be taking up all your visibility out of the back whenever you look your rear view, so you should be able to see what's going on behind you a little bit, and keep an eye on your bikes at the same time. With that said, I mentioned it's really simple, and the way this is gonna work is it's going to hold your bike down in two spots. All right So you're gonna have these frame straps here that secure it down, and you can position your bike in a manner where it's gonna sit level on its own, and then strap 'em down, so really not a whole lot to it at all. more

Yakima RidgeBack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Ram 1500- Video

Hi, everyone. Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the Yakima RidgeBack on our 2022 Ram 1500. The RidgeBack is a hanging style bike rack that holds up to four bikes. It's gonna hold them hanging by the frame up top and we've got that secured with two ZipStrips over top of the frame. These ZipStrips simply slide in and out, and just ratchet into the cradles. more

You've got a 70 pound weight capacity per bike, which is gonna be able to hold some of those heavier bikes too. A lot of other e-bike racks, they typically go around to 60 pound capacity, maybe 66. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Ram 1500 S64671- Video

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Swagman XTC2 Tilt on our 2022 Ram 1500. The XTC is a platform style bike rack that holds a bike by the frame. You can see that frame hook right here coming down on top of the frame and pushing it down into the wheel hoops. Now because it makes frame contact, we do wanna avoid carbon frame bikes and be cautious of alternative frame bikes, because those alternative frame bikes have pretty aggressive shapes of the frame. These hooks don't always grab on super well. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Audi SQ5- Video

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail 2-Bike Rack on our 2019 Audi SQ5. Now, with this bike rack, it's gonna be a platform style rack, which means we hold the bike in these trays, and this one holds it primarily by our front tire. We also have a wheel strap in the back, but this is what's gonna primarily keep our bike upright and still. It's gonna get a pretty good hold on the bike too, keeps it in that cradle down up front, which kinda binds up that front wheel and keeps it from turning. It doesn't make any frame contact, so it's good for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and the 60 pound weight capacity per bike, it's gonna be good for e-bikes too. more
