This 7-pole, sealed, RV-style trailer connector plugs into the factory socket on your Ford truck and is an exact OE replacement on Ford trucks. The plug features the brake light and turn functions on the second pins from the top, on either side. I would double check that your factory harness connector has these functions located on the same pins, in the off chance that there may be a mis-wire situation.
