Wiring for Dexter Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Actuator # K71-651

Hi, I am looking at the product and I can see 4 wires. and I do have some questions regarding those wires, please. 1 Black Wire. +12 VOLT / 25-40 AMP. CIRCUIT FROM TOW VEHICLE is it a 12V hot all the time or ignition? or? 2White Wire. Ground. No Question 3 Yellow Wire. 12V from Breakaway switch. does break away switch supply 12V only when trailer is dis-attached from tow vehicle? 4 Blue Wire. Connects to in-cab controller. What does this wire supply the Actuator? I mean voltage, current or what? for example if it supply voltage, please explain what is the difference between 3V and 12V supplied.

When it comes to the wiring for the Dexter Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Actuator, # K71-651:

1. The black wire will connect to the 12V circuit coming from the vehicle's trailer wiring that is always hot.

2. White is the ground.

3. The yellow wire will only supply power when the brake-away pin is pulled.

4. The blue wire carries voltage from the brake controller to the actuator. The difference in voltage affects the amount of braking force that the actuator pump will produce. Lower Voltage = Lower Braking Force, Higher Voltage = Higher Braking Force
