Slight Fishtailing When Towing 1990 Jayco Travel Trailer with 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe  

Question:

While pulling a 1990 jayco travel trailer with 2015 Tahoe with valley weight distribution and sway control with proper hitch experiencing slight fishtailing at 55 to 65 miles per hour or intersate speed. What is the fix???

Since you mention that you are using a Valley weight distribution system with sway control and are still experiencing problems with fishtailing, I recommend trying to rearrange the cargo in your 1990 Jayco travel trailer.

One of the main causes of trailer sway or fishtailing is not having a large enough percentage of trailer tongue weight compared to gross trailer weight. I would start by placing heavier cargo in the front of the trailer, ahead of the trailer's axle. Also center the cargo left-to-right and use tie-downs to keep the load from sliding.
