Will the Curt Weight Distribution Shank part # C17124 work w Pro Series Weight Distribution PS49583

Question:

will the Curt Manufacturing 17124 work with the ProSeries PS49583 WD system. I have a 2014 Ram 1500 and a trailer with the top of the coupler at 17 1/2inch and the top of the reciever hitch is 20 1/2. Will that shank me enough to match the trailer? I have already spent the money on the WD System but cant use it without dropping the ball height. Thanks.

Yes, the Curt Weight Distribution Shank part # C17124 that you referenced would be compatible with the # PS49583 weight distribution system and would work well to give you additional drop if needed.

To determine the correct amount of drop you would need you need to measure from the bottom of the coupler to the ground with trailer sitting level and then from the top of the hitch opening. Whatever the difference is the amount of drop needed. I attached an FAQ on this for more info.
