2011 FJ Cruiser Transmission Cooler Recommendation
Question:
Sir, Do you know if the hose supplied will be long enough to install the D12902 at the very bottom of the radiator of a Toyota FJ Cruiser leaving enough space above for an additional electric fan required for aiding the AC cool in traffic? Also do you have any other means of installing the cooler to the radiator, I do not believe the plastic ties will last long. Lastly do you have any photos of this cooler installed on a Toyota FJ cruiser 2011 Regards,

The length of hose that comes with the Derale transmission coolers like part # D12902 is 10 feet. That is usually adequate for most vehicles, but on a larger SUV like your 2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser a long hose like part # D13017 could be needed.
In most cases the line needed can be pretty short since typically the fittings and lines that get removed and used are all right near the radiator. Typically you don't need a long section of hose unless you are going from the transmission all the way to the radiator. On a vehicle with a factory cooler everything will be located right near the radiator.
You would be surprised how long the plastic ties of this kit will last. I have used them on the transmission cooler I installed on my car 5 years ago and they are still holding up well. If you wanted to come up with a bracket you certainly could to mount this cooler since it has holes on the side of the cooler that could be used for this. However, for an install kit you could use the part # D13062 or # D13002.
I wish we had photos of this cooler installed on a FJ Cruiser like yours but we do not.
