Multiple batteries can be wired either in parallel or series configurations to deliver either increased amp-hours or increased voltage.

Eight 12V batteries wired in parallel will deliver the same 12V output but with a longer amp-hour capacity. Eight 12V batteries wired in series will deliver more voltage (8 x 12 = 96 volts) with about the same amp-hour capacity.

If your solenoids are burning out in your application you will want to use a higher-rated unit.
