How to Wire up a Tow Vehicle to Tow a Jayco Style Flagstaff Trailer that Needs 12 Volt Power

Hey guys, I recently purchased a wire harness for my tent trailer, awesome job by the way I know this said for jayco trailers but someone on line said it would work on my flagstaff by cobra tent trailer so I took a chance, Both ends plug in just fine, perfect fit but no power to traier lights at all . it is a 6 to 4 flat any ideas. 4-ways like what you have on your tow vehicle do not carry a 12 volt signal. They are designed for only taillight circuits.
If you need a 12 volt circuit you are going to have to remove the # 30104 adapter as well as the 6-way square you have on your trailer. You will have to install a 7-way in it's place like part # H20042 and then use the # 37185 on your vehicle. The black wire of the # 37185 will need to get ran through a 40 amp breaker like part # PK54540. The 4-way of your vehicle will plug into the 4-way of the # 37185.
Now on your trailer you will need to wire up the # H20042 by function to your trailer. There is a chart on the product page that details how it will wire to your current connector.
