Will Holes Line Up When Replacing Class l Hitch With Class ll On 2006 Buick Rendezvous
Question:
Just purchased a 2006 Buick Rendezvous CX with a 1 1/4inch Draw-tite hitch. Would like to put a 2inch Draw-tite but am concerned the holes that need to be drilled might not match up or may interfere with the 1 1/4inch already drilled holes. Any chance you can check to see if this would be a problem? I was thinking about the Curt, but not sure I like only having one extra support bolt drilled hole as opposed to the 2 of the Draw-tite. Thanks.

I spoke with my contact at Draw-Tite about the hitch you have on your 2006 Buick Rendezvous.
They told me if the Class ll hitch you currently have installed is part # 36425, the Class lll Draw-Tite hitch, part # 75430 should line up the same. They told me the only difference is the heavier metal and the receiver opening so you should be good to go. I have attached a link to an installation video for this hitch you can check out on a 2007 Buick Rendezvous. Although a different year, the installation will be very similar.
when you go to remove the hitch from your Buick, you will probably need a flexible magnet to remove the hardware that was installed.
