Question:
I have a 2003 Ford Leprechaun RV and I am needing to put a brake box on it. I was wondering what type of brake box should be installed on it. Thanks..

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
Finding the brake controller connectors on those cutaway chassis E450 models can be challenging. When Ford sends them to out to aftermarket, they are used for several different vehicles, like RVs, ambulances, moving vans, delivery trucks, etc. During this process the under-dash wiring can be moved around as accessories are added.
There might be more than one connector under the dash, the challenge will be to find the right one. The correct harness you will need to install a brake controller will be part # 3035-P. Take a look at the brown connector on the end of the wiring adapter. You will be looking for a gray connecter under the dash that would mate up with the plug on the wiring adapter, typically to the left of the steering column. To confirm you have the correct connector, you can use a circuit tester like part # PTW2992 and probe the pins on the connector. If you have the right connector, you should find that one pin shows a constant 12-volts, and another should only show voltage when the brake pedal is pressed.
