Will the Thule Quick Loop Bow and Stern Tie Downs Rub the Paint Off of a Vehicle

Question:

I am concerned that using the Thule quick loops to tie down the bow and stern of my kayaks in the manner that you suggest might rub the paint off my vehicle from friction. Any ideas?

I an confident that the Quick Loops, # TH530, will not rub the paint off of your vehicle. Once the kayak(s) are tied down the strap part of the Quick Loop will be taut and unable to move much, if at all, and certainly not with enough force to rub paint off of the vehicle.
