Recommended Adapter Bar for a Thule Vertex Hitch Mounted Bike Rack on a 2011 Toyota Highlander
Question:
See the attached photo of bike I plan to purchase . Will it require the adapter bar to mount on the Thule Vertex 4 bike rack? Will the bike ride okay without the adapter bar? Thanks.

The Thule adapter bar # TH982XT is not required but it's a great option for some alternative bike frames such as women's, alternative, oversize and some children's bike frames.
It attaches to your bike's seat post and handlebar stern post, providing a horizontal bar for the Thule Vertex to grab the handlebar stem.
I have included a video review for you as well.
