Will the Curt Front Mounted Hitch Fit a 1995 Chevy Tahoe with 36 inch Wide Frame

Question:

the tec tip says that this hitch will not fit a 36in. frame. Why wont it fit? When I measure my frame 95 Chevy Tahoe from the out side of the rails it is 36in. Is that the proper way to measure the frame. Will this hitch fit my truck?

As long as your 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe is a 4 wheel drive model the Curt Front Hitch for the 1995 Tahoe, item # 31042, will fit. The tech tip states that the Hitch will not fit vehicles with 34 inch frames. If you have a 2 wheel drive model then the front mount hitch will not fit.
