How is the Hopkins Trailer Connector Adapter Part # HM47675 Mounted

Question:

Im interested in this HM47675 for my 2007 F150 Supercrew. The OEM seems to be a 7 pole round with a connector on the front side of the mounted brackect for an older type of trailer hook-up. How will this unit mount? Any additional wire splicing for the extra connection outlets ie lighter and 2-4&5 flat connections?

Expert Reply:

The Hopkins Trailer Connector Adapter, part # HM47675 will fit the OEM 7-way connector on your 2007 F150 with no problem. It is held in place by its attachment to the OEM connector. The adapter simply plugs into the existing trailer connector. No additional wiring is necessary, as the existing connector already supplies 12-volt power for the cigarette lighter type plug.
