Recommended Swinging Arm Cargo Carriers to Carry a Propane Tank 18-Inches Tall

Question:

We are looking at the product here # Y62VR. but are concerned that the box would not hold a standard propane container, which it 18inch tall and this is only 17inch in height - inside. 1. Will it hold a propone tank 2. do you have a slightly larger higher box or setup that might work better?

The dimensions you provided are correct, but we don't currently offer a enclosed cargo carrier where the inside height dimension of the pod is 18-inches or more.

The Yakima cargo carrier we currently offer is # Y62VR. It is 14-9/1 inches tall inside the pod, laying the propane tank on its side could be an option, although it would decrease the amount of cargo you can transport. If you keep the propane upright within the pod the cargo carrier may not close properly.

An option to consider is the 24x48-3/4 Carpod Walled, Folding Cargo Carrier - 2" Hitches - w/ Lid, Bag, Rise Shank - 450 lbs # M2205-01-02. The inside cargo bag dimensions are 46" long x 22" wide x 22" tall, but it won't have a swing out option.
