Can 2 Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs be Inflated Using a Single Line on a 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander
Question:
Hi. I just installed Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander with the Union Tee for 1/4inch tubing so I can Inflate both air helpers with just one tube. According with the instructions you can inflate the air helper until 36 pounds. My question is when I inflate both air helper with just one tube, the pressure level of this tube could be inflate until 72 pounds or the pressure should be until 36 pounds despite of both air helper are connected to the same tube. Thank you for your help

Expert Reply:
The air lines included with the Coil-Rite system # F4182 for your 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander can handle the higher air pressure so having them inflate on one line would be fine.
Please note the installation instructions that I viewed on the Firestone site indicate the bags are rated for 5 to 35 psi, not 36. Not that 1 psi makes a difference but better safe than sorry. There should always be at least the 5psi minimum in the air bags at all times.
