Snow Chains or Cables for a Heavy Duty Truck In Canada
Question:
are they Dot approved in canada for Heavy trucks tire size 22.5 or 24.5

You would have to check with your local DOT to determine if tire cables are an acceptable form of tire chains in your area. Most likely you would want a chain and not a cable though, especially for a heavy duty truck since the cables are not as durable as a chain. We have several chains designed for heavy duty trucks that would be a much better option, especially in Canada where the snowfall is very heavy.
Follow the link I attached to the right and enter your tire size to see what is recommended for your tire size.
I also attached an FAQ on snow chains for you to check out.
