Recommended Trunk Mounted Bike Rack for 2009 Ford Mustang

Question:

I'm looking for a trunk bike rack to carry two bikes on a 2009 Mustang. I'm looking for something that's easy to use, and easy to put on and take off the car, because I'll take the rack off the car when it's not being used. Do you have any suggestions?

If it's easy install and removal you're looking for, the Thule OutWay, part # TH45JV uses only 2 rubber straps to attach to the vehicle, rather than the 6 strap and buckle method other racks use. The carrier has locks to secure the rack to the vehicle, and the rack provides an integrated cable lock that will help secure the bikes to the rack.

If you'll be transporting women's bikes or bikes with sharply-angled top tubes, you might also consider a frame adapter bar like part # 64005. The bar spans the distance between the handlebar gooseneck and the seat post, which provides a secondary attachment point for the bike rack. This allows the bike to be carried level, which maximizes ground clearance.
