How to Determine Bolt Pattern of a Trailer Wheel
Question:
Your site refers to a 5 bolt 4 1/2 inch pattern. I just bought a trailer tire from WalMart, with wheel already mounted. It fits my existing hub just fine. When I measure the distance between the centers of two lug nut holes, I get 4 1/4 inch. Is this what you call 4 1/2 inch? Or are the WalMart wheels something different? Thanks for your help.

I attached a link that details how to determine bolt pattern on a wheel or hub to the right for you to check out. But based on the measurement you took it sounds like you most likely have a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern since that is what is the closest bolt pattern to the measurement you took.
You can verify this by measuring from the center of one bolt hole to the one adjacent to it, if it measures 2-5/8 inches it's a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern.
