Looking for Replacement Hubs for Boat Trailer with 1.06 Inch Diameter Spindles

Question:

I need new hubs for my boat trailer. I don't know the bearing numbers, I can't read them. The spindle is right at 1.06 where the bearings would sit. I need a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern to match my existing wheels.

Since you successfully measured your spindles, it sounds like you might have a digital caliper lying around somewhere. Measure the hub bore (inside diameter of hub where grease cap sits). If this diameter is 1.98 inches, your existing bearings are # L44649, in which case the # 8-258-5UC1 hub you referenced would indeed be a correct replacement.

Since the hubs are going on a boat trailer, I'd recommend you use galvanized hubs like part # 8-259-50UC1. The hubs are identical to the ones you asked about, but they have a galvanized finish that will provide more corrosion resistance. The hub includes replacement inner and outer bearings, races, grease seal, grease cap and lug nuts.
